For the most part, Obamacare is doing well in states where Obama has done well.
Democratic-led blue states have embraced the law, setting up exchanges, promoting sign-ups and accepting a Medicaid expansion to cover more people, while Republican-led red states have resisted it.
But there are three red states that have bucked the trend, whether intentionally or not. They may hold a clue on the lawÂ’s future, especially with Republicans unlikely to repeal the law in the next two years.

It will survive the superfluous attacks and if I was a betting woman I would bet that 15 years from now Reps/cons will reclaim it and want to make it their idea, just like they do with Civil Rights.....after all, a lot of Obamacare came from the right.....

Opponents of the Affordable Health Care law call it socialism but it is not. They are quick to point out every real or imagined flaw but offer no solution to fix an already broken health care delivery system.
The law itself originated from the Conservation Heritage Foundation as an alternative to Hillary Care. It is market based with help for those who previously were unable to obtain health insurance. The greatest fear that the opponents have is that once implemented the law will become popular like Social Security and Medicare.

To pick up on Gary Parker’s letter about Obamacare (Your View, Feb. 16, “What’s so bad about Obamacare?”, let me reiterate that Republicans in Raleigh chose to exercise their obsessive hatred of President Obama over providing a better quality of health care for thousands of our poorest North Carolinians.
The basis for Obamacare originated in a Republican think tank. They loved the idea when Mitt Romney made it a law in Massachusetts. It was only after Obama adopted the idea that they flipped out and decided it was the worst idea ever!
