Didn't we as Trump said, "Completely and totally obliterated" Iran's capabilities of doing that last year when we attacked them? Even for those complete skeptics of the president's claim of obliterating their nuclear facilities, they said we did in the least, degrade their nuclear pursuit capabilities for a minimum of 2 years.

I’m afraid I cannot provide you with “rhe” answer. But just as some of our more virulent anti American posting members offer their absurd speculation as fact, I too can speculate based on the same evidence. I just reach a very different conclusion.

For whatever it’s worth, here is my conclusion as succinctly as possible.

Iran was enriching uranium to near weapons grade. After all of their official condemnations of Israel and America, including official calls for their respective deaths, I share the view that Iranian mullahs with atomic weapons was far too risky for us to tolerate.

The Iranian people themselves are largely rising up against their oppressive regime. And the Iranian “government’s” response was to slaughter tens of thousands of its own people.

They never negotiated in good faith and were not doing so now, either. Plus, President Trump was crystal clear about this course of action if they didn’t immediately cease their stalling tactics, this time. They chose not to take him at his word. Big mistake.

Those are justifications for us to seek to neutralize the threat they posed. But wait. There’s more.

Because of our prior sanctions against their oil based economy, their oil went largely to Communist China and also to Russia. What our military just did in Iran is going to impact the delivery of any Iranian oil to those nations.

What President Trump accomplished with our military in Venezuela should have also taught the Chinese a lesson in just how porous their air defense systems are.

Ditto that, now, with Iran. The Chinese tech failed the Ayatollah.

Also, unlike the “lines in the sand” pronouncements made by feckless and reckless American Presidents in the recent past, President Trump has now clearly and loudly demonstrated that his own “lines” getting crossed does come with massive repercussions.
