Allegedly. There isn't any proof other than the administration's say so.that have pirates and drug runners roaming it.

The last time one country tried to steal another country's oil was Iraq and Kuwait. Before that it was Imperial Japan. This is about regime change, which has been a goal of Empire for a very long time. Also, getting control of their resources. The drug excuse is just that...an excuse. Look into who has actually been bringing drugs in to the US for years, and then ask if the ptsb actually care about drugs. Wake up, folks.

They dont exactly give up. Until weapons are in their face.Allegedly. There isn't any proof other than the administration's say so.
It used to be, in America we believed in "innocent until proven guilty."
If they are guilty, why not just apprehend them?
Gunboat diplomacyThis thread starts with a whole lot of conjecture.
The military might we are displaying in that region is designed to make sure that the governmental head of a nation, which is apparently managed by drug cartels, gets the message.
I personally doubt that America has any designs on Venezuela other than to cause a massive disruption in its drug distribution system and criminal behavior.
I’d be literally dismayed if President Trump had eyes on Venezuelan oil. And it that turns out to be even a significant component of the policies he is now making use of, he would immediately lose my support.
We all recognize that President Trump in imperfect (as are we all). But it is still fully possible that all he is seeking to accomplish is the obliteration of a drug network supported by a nation and its leadership.
That term kinda sorta rings a bell!!Gunboat diplomacy
Yes it does. Think they got the message? That term kinda sorta rings a bell!!

My narritive is ive served there and know what kind of people they are.OK, fine, if that is the case, I have no problem with force at that point.
This isn't what is happening though, so why are you trying to twist reality to fit your narrative?
If didn't see anything about oil in the videos posted. This thread starts with a whole lot of conjecture.

This is WAY bigger than blowing drug running boats out of the water.
The REAL war on drugs is apparently coming to be, but are there ulterior motives involved?

I'm leaning towards the theory that this is also to show China that they shouldn't think of setting up operations in South America, but who knows? There must be ulterior motives. You dont send a massively expensive carrier group to intercept little drug boats.
The motive could be for training (highly unlikely in my opinion), it could be there as a threat to keep anyone from getting trigger happy, or it could be there to do strikes on Venezuala. Its interesting that they also have amphibious assault ships, whos only purpose is to land foot soldiers on enemy soil.![]()
IF you are going to argue and discuss with fallacies, I don't have time for your nonsense. My narritive is ive served there and know what kind of people they are.
I simple dont care they are being taken out. Why do you care given who they are.
You a boyscout?
Wah. These are drug dealers and pirates.IF you are going to argue and discuss with fallacies, I don't have time for your nonsense.
Just because you were once, long ago, involved in drug interdiction missions, DOES NOT mean what the administration is telling us is necessarily the truth.
Likewise, painting all people with a broad-brush, as if a few represent the whole, again, weak minded illogical drivel.
You haven't given a reasonable response, just fallacious hyperbole.

I suspect that Maduro and his henchthugs probably have gotten the message. But the heads of the various cartels are notoriously slow learners.Yes it does. Think they got the message?
