The Left and the media are both trying to claim that Trump's monthly "retainer" fee to Cohen was a "reimbursement."

That is completely false. The two are totally different. A retainer is a monthly fee for "general services" which, in The Donald's case, likely includes getting the "erupting bimbo" to shut up via $$$$$$$$$$.

A reimbursement is a specific payment to cover a specific expense.

Even if that is Trump's arrangement with Cohen, it is still 100% legal and Trump may very well have never known that Cohen paid the 'ho....

Embarrassing? Do you really want to know what embarrassing is? Being a POTUS and having the blemishes on your genitalia described in a deposition... Then having your wife write a check for $750,000.00 to make it go away...

That's embarrassing...

Quid pro quo.
Stormy was paid to keep her mouth shut which might have changed the election outcome if she had spoken up. That is something of value. It doesn't even have to be money., Just something of value. Like information.

Pieces of sh!t lie. Trump lies. Do you lie?

Jones sued Clinton for allegedly exposing himself to her in a hotel room in 1991. The Jones suit, which went all the way to the Supreme Court, was ultimately dismissed by a judge on the grounds Jones could not show damages. While it was on appeal, Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to settle the suit without admitting liability.

Bill Clinton settled the Paula Jones case. He wasn't fined.

Bear in mind that THAT is also the "angle" for the Russians opting to help Trump with dirt on Hillary.

That makes it at least a $100,000.00 more embarrassing...

There are ways to bribe.

There are ways to transfer money for one thing, claiming it's for something else.

In the US they often call it campaign donations or the like.

In China they can do things like buying fake paintings. The price will be really high, there'll be a bidding war between someone from the person receiving the money and another from the person giving the money until it hits the right point, and the money is handed over that way.

You can give Hongbaos. Red envelopes at Spring Festival, weddings etc.

Lots of ways to give money without it looking like it's what it is.

You think Trump, a guy who admitted to "pay to play" with various state governments, New York especially, is going to do things directly? Come off it.

‘a "retainer" is not a reimbursement or a payoff’

No one said it was.

But that’s not the issue:

‘Law firms advance expenses for clients as a matter of course, and so there’s nothing inherently improper about a lawyer covering a particular payment and then being reimbursed for it. In this case, though, the client who apparently reimbursed the expense was running for president and the money was paid just days before the election, raising questions about whether Cohen’s law practice was functioning as a vendor for the campaign and whether the expense was therefore an unreported campaign expenditure. If so, that could be legally problematic.

Andrew Herman, an attorney specializing in campaign finance law at Miller & Chevalier, said Giuliani’s argument that this was a private payment unrelated to the campaign appears to be “pretty far-fetched” given the timing — weeks before the election while Trump was under fire for his behavior with women and for an “Access Hollywood” tape in which he spoke of groping women without their consent.’

President Trump Says 'Retainer' to Lawyer Covered Payment to Stormy Daniels

Clearly Trump apologists are this ignorant, desperate, and ridiculous.

You could always start a foundation such as the 'Clinton Global Initiative'...

Well, the Clintons, Trump, people like this, they're all the same. Yes, they have different strategies for trying to reach the top, but ultimately it's about themselves and not about you.
