The New York Post's editorial board published a scathing piece on New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's plan to "tax Whites more" on Friday, calling the proposed tax scheme "pure racism."

The Post editorial argued that Mamdani's plan to shift the city's tax burden to "richer and Whiter" neighborhoods shows "where his priorities really are," and slammed the democratic socialist for looking to "punish" White people.

A housing policy document posted to Mamdani's official website states that if he were elected, his administration would "shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and Whiter neighborhoods."

Comment:
Mamdani is a racist and he has purposely agitated minority voters.
Race based rules, regulations, policies and laws are unconstitutional and racist.
There is a political movement called cultural marxism, but Mamdani has created a new one that should be called racial marxism.
He has used left wing racial hatred to create his coalition.

What he will be targeting isn't rich areas, but Co-ops in neighborhoods that mostly voted for Cuomo and Sliwa.

Right now Co-ops have a cap on property taxes, like the one I am about to buy into. And these aren't $1M apartments, but more in the $250-$500k range, which is middle of the road for NYC.

I was curious about how NY got to be known as “the Empire State.” It looks a lot like a line from George Washington’s letter (see above link) was the root of that nickname.

It also should be noted that “Empire” didn’t refer to gobbling up other countries. It seems to have focused instead on economic power, progress and promise. And the role and position of NY in those things shouldn’t t be forgotten, now.

I expect some very bad news to come out of NY in the near future. Things will get bad and then get worse. Domino theory. And it will have bad ripple effects on the rest of the nation.

I hope it becomes, in the end, good reason for the leftists to reconsider their ill advised position on supporting socialists and communists.

When the people who want free stuff outnumber the rest, they vote to come take what the rest have earned.

It violates your Bill of Rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of which America (among many) have been signatory to since the end of the Second World War. That's how deep such a proposal harks back to, the racism of WWII. The U.S DOJ would have every right to go after the mayor as aggressively as possible if he tried to enact that.

Any wealthy person being taxed due to their race would multiply their tax bill in returns from the NY treasury if such a class action case went to trial. Not even the U.N would be able to defend any such tyranny of government. In fact, such a tax would allow a genuine comparison to Hitler for once and any of his backers would have to own it. Similar to Apartheid race-based laws of S Africa or segregationist in the 1950s America.

New York is the perfect city for ICE to operate now if their mayor goes off the rails with such a supremacy campaign. Trump needs to just be cool and call out the violations the mayor is involved in.

Ironically, he could end up being the perfect foil for the GOP before the midterms, especially if Trump wins the tariff decision and cuts a check for Americans.

Attempts at race-based collective punishment would sink the opposition pretty quickly and if Trumps team is wise, they are already creating many videos with his speeches and words prominently featured.
