Actually, what I meant in the OP is that when people accuse others of hate, it’s most often hyperbole. For example, disagreeing with making gay marriage legal is not necessarily a hatred of gays. To blanket assume so is illogical hyperbole. My only real question is why do people do it so often here?

Here's my take...

The leftists believe themselves to be "good people"...As such, what they want (or more often than not want for people they don't even know) is deemed to be inherently and unquestionably good...Any evident downsides are trifling enough to them to get a dismissive "whatabout" and/or "yeahbbut".

Therefore, if you oppose them, there just has to be something wrong with you.....You cannot possibly be a "good person"....It's only a baby step from there that you're deemed to be a mean spirited, heard hearted, racistsexisrhomophobicbigotpollutercatkicking hater if you oppose their policy prescriptions, no matter how detrimental they end up being IRL.

It's "1" or "0" for that crowd.

If republicans didn't want to see women DEAD, why did they use a law from 1864 to stop abortions in Arizona? Or the Texas law, that effectively put a bounty on women leaving to have a legal abortion in another state.

There is a lot of hate on the right too. On the right are people who hate immigrants who earn more money than they do. They think that because their ancestors have been here since since the seventeenth or eighteenth centuries they should be better off than a Jew or an East Asian who move here five years ago and became an american citizen three years ago.
