I have posed this question to some of the posters who believe in the Truth Movement, but have never gotten an answer, so I thought I would start this thread to see if any of them (or anyone I haven't asked) would be willing to do it here.

It's surprising me too. I would have thought with 134 views of the thread so far, one of them would have told us who THEY want to conduct the investigation. Well, maybe tonight's the night, and I'll get an answer to this simple question by tomorrow. We'll see.

A second draft bill setting up an independent science and technology investigation into the World Trade Center destruction was presented March 16-17 in Washington D.C. to science/technology aides of eight House members for action this year.

There is to be established an independent group known as the Science and Technological Committee to Investigate the Structural Failures of the New York City World Trade Center’s Twin Towers and Building No. 7 (in this Act referred to as the ‘Committee’).

(a) Members – The Committee shall exclude members of the 9/11 movement and be composed of the following 25 individuals or their designees drawn from national and international experts of the highest repute in the science and technological world:

(1) 1 Member shall be designated chair by the mutual consultation of the Committee chair and ranking member. Credentials shall require internationally recognized expertise in structural engineering or architecture for steel-framed, high-rise buildings or the chemical or nuclear sciences.

Remaining members will be selected by consultations of the House Committee’s chair, and the ranking member, and the Act’s Committee chair. Requirements for those drawn from the scientific and technological fields are significant international and national credentials. Committee membership distribution is as follows:

(1) 2 Members from the architects and engineers who designed and built the WTC.

(2) 3 Members with expertise in steel-framed buildings——one in architecture, one in engineering, one in construction.

(3) 2 Members from the National Association of Demolition Contractors and international counterparts with expertise on steel-framed high-rise buildings.

(4) 2 Members from the custodial and maintenance staffs of the WTC 1, 2, and 7 on duty September 11, 2001.

Who will be on the commission? Who will chair it? What powers will it have?

The membership of the commission will be selected by the steering committee of the Citizens’ 9/11 Commission Campaign. The committee will select commissioners from among a list compiled internally as well as from outside nominations. Foreigners may also serve on the new commission.

The selection of the commission is the most difficult part of the proposed measure if we are to have a commission that is independent from state and federal governments. Normally the selection of commissioners would be made by the governors and the leadership of the legislatures in states where the initiative is enacted into law by the people. But this would obviously inject partisan politics into the selection process that would be self-defeating.

The chairman and other officers, particularly the prosecuting officer, will be selected by the commissioners themselves, who have the power to remove any officer or commissioner. As stated, the commission will be vested with the powers of a grand jury. The commission will conclude its work by turning over its findings to one or more state governments to prosecute individuals who are found to have committed criminal acts.

How do you know the federal government won’t block or sabotage your new commission?

We don’t know. In all likelihood it will try to some degree. The confrontation created will in itself be very informative to the people, who will rally to our side as they realize that these officials may be attempting to block the entire process. The entire effort will, as usual, depend on citizen involvement.

You should have taken notice of this as it would have made your stupid post of not having 9-11 truth members allowed moot.
