I guess you are suddenly FOR prayer in school?I guess the OP suddenly is against prayer in school?
What do you have against expression of religion and worship? What do you have against expression of religion and worship?
Why are you supporting this?I guess the OP suddenly is against prayer in school?
Taxpayers would care.If they built it in a separate room - just as this Muslim prayer room, who cares?
Likes to jump the shark. Why are you supporting this?
Why would all the students need a foot washing room? For one belief? Not likely. As a room for all to use? Probably.
Nope - certainly not. Only in your imagination.
So again - do they have "religion" as a school subject in Minneapolis?
Nonsense - it's the MAIN issue pertaining to the US constitution - freedom of religion. Not the issue. Making tax payer funded accomodations for a specific 'religious' practice. Students are permitted to pray in private and on their own time. This would be altering daily school schedule changes for prayer time and the other ritual.
Rubbish, show me in the NT, were it states that Christians must pray every day or e.g. 5 times a day. Therefore unlike Muslims Christians are not subjected to a religious law - that would necessitate a prayer in school.I guess you are suddenly FOR prayer in school?
What on Earth are you trying to say? Sounds like you think the Christian religion should not be in schools but Islam is OK.Rubbish, show me in the NT, were it states that Christians must pray every day or e.g. 5 times a day. Therefore unlike Muslims Christians are not subjected to a religious law - that would necessitate a prayer in school.
No, they stopped the coach from doing it. Students can pray anytime they want. The school fired him illegally because he was doing nothing wrong. Why was there a case in the first place?
I’ll answer because you won’t.
The school stopped the football team from kneeling on the field and praying.
Why do prejudice people like YOU always try to put words into other peoples mouth? What on Earth are you trying to say? Sounds like you think the Christian religion should not be in schools but Islam is OK.
Freedom of religion means taxpayers have to provide not only space for prayers but plumbing for ceremonial ablutions?Nonsense - it's the MAIN issue pertaining to the US constitution - freedom of religion.
Off-course religion is a subject in school - and it also teaches about OTHER religions, aka that Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day. So if the USA let's in Muslims the Constitution demands freedom of religion, as such the US government is required by LAW to provide praying rooms for Muslims. You don't like that? well then change your silly Constitution - Over and Out.
That’s fine, but why did it take Muslims to get this? Back when kids were wanting to do Bible study in school, lefty’s here were protesting, calling it a violation of separation. Now, there’s no pushback.
Why would all the students need a foot washing room?
Ummmmmmmmmm, but that doesn't have anything to do with the thread. Do we keep religion out of schools or don't we? Pick one. Simple, right? Why do prejudice people like YOU always try to put words into other peoples mouth?
I simply stated that it is "OBLIGATORY" for Muslims to pray 5 times a day - for Christians its not. Simple right?
COTUS doesn't go that far.So if the USA let's in Muslims the Constitution demands freedom of religion, as such the US government is required by LAW to provide praying rooms for Muslims.
Oh, now I get what you were saying. Sorry.I don't believe anyone said all did, so.........
Free exercise and Establishment clauses are a problem for you.So if the USA let's in Muslims the Constitution demands freedom of religion, as such the US government is required by LAW to provide praying rooms for Muslims.
