A ‘diplomatic solution’ to the war in Ukraine
Russian and Ukrainian representatives failed to reach an agreement in talks held at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border on 28 February. But could diplomacy ultimately bring an end to the war in Ukraine…

I'm posting the link because it's demanded, and not necessarily a solution.
The only possibility is a mutually agreeable solution for both sides. But when I say 'both sides', I'm saying both America and Russia, for the sake of this conversation. That doesn't inclued the Ukraine in which the sentiments of the population are divided.
And so both sides will have to be able to call it a win for them that can be sold to their side as a win. That simply has to be a Ukraine that is neither allied with America or allied with Russia, but will become a demilitarized UN protectorate or something close to that status.
There's no other solution, simply because neither side, America or Russia, is going to accept defeat.
We all should be able to start entertaining the idea of a peaceful conclusion to this war. The M.A.D. factor makes anything else unthinkable.
And then there is going to be hope for the future as all large and powerful nuclear armed countries come to accept that aggression against other smaller countries is no longer possible.
Comments? Ideas?
Keeping in mind that to continue to fight an armchair war is futile efforts.
