The next two or three elections, if the Republican party does not start including women, hispanics, blacks, and gays in their party, for real, the Republicans become a permanent minority in government. They know this, the society has changed and the time they've had to try to reverse or resist this change is coming to a close now. They have to evolve or die.

If a majority of Americans vote against Trump in a national election, that will assuage some of the angst of those who are committed to leaving America if he is elected. Nevertheless, the contest hinges on votes from the Electoral College.
