What does the headline even mean? What is "open to kicking Trump off the ballot"? How many Americans have spent as much as five ******* minutes reviewing the text - let alone the legislative history - of the operative section of the 14th Amendment? The Leftist Press has been telling us, falsely, that President Trump is guilty of promoting or participating in an "insurrection," despite the fact that neither Trump nor anyone even associated with him or the riots of January 6th has even been charged with "insurrection," this is a legal term with a real definition.

Further, the Democrat party has gone "all in" with the strategy of "protecting democracy" by making it impossible for half of America to vote for the individual that they manifestly wish to vote for.

Fortunately, the only states that are working on this insidious strategy are majorly controlled by the Democrat party, so keeping him off the ballot is utterly meaningless.

So if all of the primaries and caucuses are done, Trump gets the most delegates, and the nomination....and then the courts decide he can’t be on the ballot in November...what then?

Its almost a no-brainer that the feds need to take over the elections for federal offices. While “I get” that if any political party were to nominate someone who isn’t qualified to be president according to state laws, that is on them; having 50 different rule books with ambiguous language often determining if someone can or cannot be on the ballot is nuts.

On the other hand, the system we’ve had in place for hundreds of years has worked well so why change it now.

Where I come down is that we need to have a set of rules that addresses every “what if”. This isn’t something that we should be trying to figure out on the fly.
