Well, in 1968 I was only 7 years old, but I remember like yesterday the funeral for my next door neighbors' son who came back from Vietnam in a flag-draped coffin, and you could say this was my first little glimpse of the real world out there beyond peewee football, little league baseball and building snowmen in northern Ohio.

The elite's solution is to divide people against their own shared interests. Too often the left has fed into this strategy by reinforcing partisan messages and further strengthening this tactic of division.

In this moment, there have been many calls for White people to find solidarity with people of color — and I would echo them. I think solidarity, though, isn't about flipping the power dynamic between various competing groups of working people, but rather a realization of community and common cause.

Recognizing our shared interests is ultimately the tactical response that will defeat racism, partisanship and the other tactics of an increasingly hostile elite.

The Democrats are dividing us by race, religion, region, class, gender...........
They are using CRT to sew racial conflict which benefits them.
Their level of epic dishonesty and abuse of power and unchecked corruption is on the same level as some of the worst totalitarian regimes in history.
Their 2022 campaign issues will be their obscene version of Voting Rights aka (election rigging) and that the Republicans are racist and extremist who are a threat to our "democracy".

But isn't true, that if you just went by the fact, the trumpers lost at least 62 ouf 63 court attempts to change the election or prove fraud (which they denied they were a saying when asked by a judge appointed by trump administration), yet still continued to try to overthrow the results, even to having trump supporters in mass attack the The Capital building where both houses of Congress were meeting to record the vote, per the constitution, and the fact that the vast majority of people prosecuted and convicted for voter fraud since the election have been trump supporters, it appears trumpers are the party of election rigging.
I don't actually care about your race, religion, class and gender things, but I despise unpatriotic assholes, that would support overthrowing the government and the constitution of this county, just to get their loser retained in power. That's not American. That's anarchism.

I consider 1968 the year America died. I was 16 yrs old back then & well remember the weekly body count coming back from south east Asia. The burning neighborhoods, riots & political corruption was as bad, I'd say worse than what we are witnessing currently. Divide & Conquer has ALWAYS been the profe$$ional politician$ ticket to retaining elected office. I understand your message about both community & common cause, like boy do I ever! It takes a deep understanding of the intent of our U.S. Constitution & of our Bill of Rights along with a unified constituency to back it's original intent to defeat g'ment sponsored racism, partisanship & political corruption.

G'ment only becomes corrupt IF THE CONSTITUENCY ALOWS IT TO BECOME CORRUPT!!!! This is WHY it is so critical to understand the MORAL value penned into the words of our Constitution & Bill of Rights. Don't hold your breath while waiting for any miraculous unity of our American constituency for we as humanity in general are facing a formidable foe called the Human Condition(Human Nature). Just do your best towards being the best American that you can be for both yourself & your fellow Americans.

The only information that was available to Americans at the time was bull shit from the likes of Woodward and Bernstein and Cronkite. There was no alternate to the constant propaganda generated by the left wing liberal media. It's hard to get a handle on what Americans were really thinking at the time with all the hatred generated by the media and the smoke screen of the drugged out left. The hypocrite media encouraged hatred for Vietnam Vets. at the time and lefties responded by spitting on returning Soldiers. Today the liberal media acknowledges Vietnam Vets. as heroes when there is no longer a political advantage for democrats and socialists.

Luckily we have moved on.

Huh??? Do you live in Switzerland or Norway or something? Americans just as divided now as we were in 1968, if not a bit more so.

FYI, in 1968, the two center-right tickets, Nixon-Agnew (GOP) and Wallace-LeMay (AIP), got 57% of the vote and won 37 out of 50 states.
