so what? The policy was enacted in 2013.
It's par for the course in corrupt political systems. And New Mexico has been corrupt for a very long time. But thanks. That was very evil of them to do that horrible thing to your husband. I am so, so sorry that they did that.
/----/ NAH -- You can edit a typo, but an imbecile won't spot a mispelled word. That's a typo, which is not the same thing as an inability to spell correctly.
You're saying that without DEI there'd have been more people staffing the tower? That makes no sense. The DC control tower was understaffed when the crash happened.
1,000 people who got degrees in air traffic control had their degrees retroactively canceled after they graduated, because they were white males.
This has everything to do with DEI.
Time warp^BIDEN lies^

Same thing with my husband in this bright blue woke state. When we first moved back to New Mexico, he was a highly skilled all perils insurance adjuster and also had passed exams to be insurance agent in two states. He took the exam to be on the New Mexico Insurance Commission, a government job, and aced it. Scored the highest score ever recorded for that test.
He was not hired because he was a registered Republican and an 'Anglo' instead of Hispanic or so an insider in government informed him. Another person taking the same test on the same day was hired.
None of which apply. He never got an interview and his credentials and references were stellar. He was an Anglo and a Republican. That automatically disqualified him according to what a knowledgeable person confided in him. (That knowledgeable person was the State Secretary of Commerce and Industry that we happened to be related to. (We couldn't sue if we wanted to without getting that person in trouble.)You realize that hiring is more than just taking tests, right.
Maybe he rubbed someone the wrong way on an interview. Maybe they talked to a past reference that said, "That guy is a pain in the backside."

Frankly I resent people who think they know more about our lives than we who are living them. Have a good night Joe.So all you have is hearsay. Not sure why you think that is viable. Could it be the relative was just telling you what you wanted to hear because they didn't want to get grief about why he didn't get the job?
It seems if he never got the interview, they just weren't that impressed with his credentials.
Hey, I just did a job search. During my job search, I applied to two companies that made the same thing the company I just left made.
Didn't get an interview at either one of them. Not sure why. Maybe they thought I'd want too much money.
Another company, went through three phone interviews before they brought me in to interview in person. After talking to that person, it was clear I wasn't what they needed, but damn, you think they should have figured it out long before it got to that stage.
I find it's a real crapshoot in job hunting. A single misspelled word in a resume can get an applicant thrown out. I single weird expression in an interview.
We should be clear about the subtext of the Right's DEI rhetoric. In essence it posits only white people are competent. That if you are, for example, a gay, black woman you don't deserve the job you hold. Because there's a more qualified straight, white guy you took the job from. These sorts of stories are always coming from some obscure blog made by an incel scratching his balls all day in his mother's basement.
This is what the OP values.

My first wife, many years ago, was going to college to get into the nursing program. She had a 4.0 average as well as some others. She had to wait over a year to get into the program because they were denying white people and accepting blacks with C averages. This information needs to be spread far and wide. DEI really does equal DIE. Supporters of DEI don't care about human lives. They are perfectly OK with people dying in order to enact their ridiculous ideology.

Liberals keep insisting that Obama never lowered the standards for air-traffic controllers.
But the proof keeps coming out more and more and more.
I don’t expect the liberals to admit that they were wrong.
But I do like to keep documenting this, and showing it to as many people as possible.
The Telegraph just reported:
https://archive.ph/5iuqQ
An aspiring air traffic controller who claimed he was denied a job because of diversity targets said the aviation agency’s obsession with inclusion made an accident likely to happen.
Andrew Brigida, 35, scored 100 per cent in his training exam but alleged that he was denied a position in an air traffic control tower because the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recruitment process favoured diverse candidates. He is part of a class action lawsuit filed against the federal agency.
Speaking after the Washington air disaster, in which 67 people were killed, Mr Brigida claimed that years of diversity hiring meant it was only a matter of time before an accident happened.
“You want to hire the best and the brightest for this kind of job because it is a very stressful job and it can take a toll on you, age you prematurely,” he told The Telegraph. “You want to make sure that the people that are doing it are the best.”
Mr Brigida graduated from Arizona State University’s collegiate training initiative in 2013 – a partnership programme with the FAA that was previously used to train and select the most qualified applicants.
After scoring top marks in his air traffic control selection and training examination, he was placed on a preferred candidate list until the FAA changed the rules.
Under the Obama administration, the regulator replaced a skills-based test with a biographical questionnaire to attract more diverse applicants.
When Mr Brigida tried again to become an air traffic controller under the new tests, he said he failed the biographical questionnaire because he “didn’t fit the preferred ethnic profile”.
Harris literally was a DIE candidate.MAGA kept calling Harris a "DEI candidate," showing that the phrase is just a racial slur with no relationship to someone's actual skill or intelligence.
Don't make the thread about you. These sorts of stories are always coming from some obscure blog made by an incel scratching his balls all day in his mother's basement.
Harris literally was a DIE candidate.
You're too ignorant to understand that DIE has everything to do with race / gender and by intent, nothing to do with actual skill or competence.
