Fractions made easy. A fraction is represented by one number over another number separated by a short straight line written like this:
The top number is the numerator and the bottom number is the denominator. The denominator represents the total number of units in the whole. The numerator represents the number of units taken from the whole. So for the example we use 7/9 or seven ninths as our fraction . With nine being the total number of units and 7 the number of units taken from the whole, or 7 of 9.
So 7 of 9 is the answer.
I just don't remember the question.
