When I was 11 years old, there was a classmate that bullied me....she would follow me around the playground on recess, where ever I went she was there making mean comments to me or bumping in to me....she was a good foot taller than me too.....a pretty intimidating size. Her name was Bonita Carter....she was an African American....her Father was in the Air Force too....I'll never forget her....
Anyway, I finally told my parents about her stalking me, every single day....and Dad told me that the next time she followed me at the playground, to turn around and give her a good hard punch in the nose....he told me not to slap her, or wrestle with her or to waste my time with any of that, but to smack her with a good hard punch, in the nose....I asked WHY the nose dad? He said that it would 'smart' and throw her for a loop....be shocked, which would give me the upper hand, and he said it would show her 'not to mess with me' ever again....
The next day, she followed me on the playground, and then she came over to the line i was in to cross the monkey bars and bumped in to me to push me out of my spot in line, and I did just what dad said, I turned and punched her hard, right smack in the nose....it bled, even though my arms could barely reach it since she was so much taller, my fist connected quite well, TY, TY Very much! SHE WAS STUNNED, and i turned and walked away... Halfway across the playground Bonita caught up with me and jumped me and we wrestled to the ground....a Teacher stopped the fight, my parents were called to pick me up and I was sent home for the rest of the school day, so was Bonita sent home....
When my father got home from work, and mom told him what happened, he told me ''Good job!''
Was my father right, in teaching me to punch her in the nose?
