Resurfaced video shows FEMA exec talking about prioritizing LGBTQ hurricane victims as Milton barrels towards Florida

^ voted entire life to destroy FEMA, then gets mad at consequences of his own actions :itsok:

\You fail o understand that FEMA was created to assist American citizens when natural disasters strike America.
The increase of Illegal aliens in this country is solely the creation of the Democrat Neo-Marxist faction.
The Director of DHS Mayorkas had and has no authority to take funds allocated for natural disasters to help illegal alien swarms.
If FEMA had not been weaponized by Obama, Biden and Harris Americans in Georgia, South and North Carolina would not have had to wait ten days for help in their time of dire need.

^ That right there proves you have no understanding about this topic. Ask your Speaker of the House to reconvene congress to send more aid to the GOP strongholds suffering from this hurricane, or at least stop pretending that you care about them.

Let's not forget that "Congress gave FEMA greater authority to move resources to a disaster zone before a storm rather than wait for formal requests from governors after the event. Before Harvey, truckloads of food, water and tents were positioned outside of the flood zone, waiting for rains to subside so they could be sent to the recovery zone. Supplies from FEMA and the Department of Defense arrived within hours, not days, after the rains ended. FEMA’s pop-up hospital drew praise."
None of this was presnt in the areas hit by Helene.
The question is why?

Resurfaced video shows FEMA exec talking about prioritizing LGBTQ hurricane victims as Milton barrels towards Florida

7 Oct 2024 ~~ By Will Potter
A FEMA disaster preparedness meeting about 'focusing efforts on LGBTQIA+' victims has resurfaced following the agency's response to Hurricane Helene.
In a virtual meeting from March 2023, FEMA Emergency Management Specialist Tyler Atkins alarmingly said the agency was prioritizing LGBTQ people because they are 'already disadvantaged.'
'They already have their own things to deal with. So you add a disaster on top of that, it’s just compounding on itself,' Atkins, who uses he/they pronouns, told the panel.
t comes as FEMA has faced mounting backlash in the weeks since Hurricane Helene tore through the southeast and killed at least 227 people, amid allegations the agency 'ran out of money' after spending billions on illegal immigrants.
~Snip~
In the clip, which has racked up over 15 million views since it was shared on X on Sunday, Atkins argued that LGBTQ victims should receive more support because they would have been 'already struggling' before a natural disaster

The shift that we're seeing right now is a shift in emergency management from utilitarian principles — where everything is designed for the greatest good, for the greatest amount of people — to disaster equity.'
A similar line can be found on FEMA's own website, where it lists its 'Goal 1' as: 'Instill Equity as a Foundation of Emergency Management.'

Commentary:
That would be consistent with their previous behavior under Obama..
Blacks were top priority after Katrina, not New Orleanians.
The stories of FEMA incompetence and callous nature in the aftermath of Helene ring true. All you have to do is review the responses and actions from Katrina, Sandy, to the most recent hurricane "Helene"'.

Socialism!

A lot of LGBTQ+ citizens in rural Appalachia where the hurricane hit, as Ned Beatty can testify.
Maybe not, but it is clear in their disaster response, they will prioritize single moms, the disabled, minorities and refugees first.

. . if there is any money left after they get done with their socialist agenda, they might help everyone else.

Even rw sites are saying "no money for Helene relief" is a lie.

Watchdog found $7B in untapped FEMA funds — even though DHS Secretary Mayorkas said none available for future disasters

just whining above, nothing else. Socialist agenda, oh my stupid.

Kamala Harris Says Equal Outcomes Should Be the Goal of Public Policy
"There’s a big difference between equality and equity."

‘Equity’ Is a Mandate to Discriminate

The new buzzword tries to hide the aim of throwing out the American principle of equality under the law.

". . . Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton raised the question explicitly in confirmation hearings. Attorney General-designate Merrick Garland responded: “I think discrimination is morally wrong. Absolutely.” Marcia Fudge, slated to run Housing and Urban Development, gave a much different answer. “Just to be clear,” Mr. Cotton asked, “it sounds like racial equity means treating people differently based on their race. Is that correct?”

Ms. Fudge’s responded: “Not based on race, but it could be based on economics, it could be based on the history of discrimination that has existed for a long time.” Ms. Fudge’s candid response tracks that of Kamala Harris’s tweet and video, posted before the election and viewed 6.4 million times: “There’s a big difference between equality and equity.”

Ms. Harris and Ms. Fudge are right. There is a big difference. It’s the difference between equal treatment and equal outcomes. Equality means equal treatment, unbiased competition and impartially judged outcomes. Equity means equal outcomes, achieved if necessary by unequal treatment, biased competition and preferential judging.. . . "

More touchy feely virtue signaling impeding the charter of the organization and restricting its efforts to actually factually help
I was curious as to the law that established FEMA.

I found it, and it explicitly states;

". . . accomplished in an equitable and impartial manner, without dis-
crimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, nationality, sex,
age, disability, English proficiency, or economic status.. . "

And as the WSJ points out, aiming for equitable outcomes, rather than equitable treatment, inevitably leads to discrimination.

So their charter explicitly prohibits what the DEI hires are trying to implement
White man is up to his nose in suffocating mud. Black woman is up to her knees but “equity” determines that she gets rescued first.
