Huh, given your body of work here I would have thought you would be against our symbol of freedom.

Good hatching all the same!

You are correct though, none were around my AO as a kid.....Now they are as common as dirt. They are always using the sycamore tree on my river property to fish from.

Things like this couldn`t have happened when I was growing up in the 60s.
They happened soon after their closing. It just wasn't widely reported.

In the area I live, there are four known Balds. I see them all the time.

I'm 100% in on reviving species. Particularly, the Raptor lines.

We have a mating pair here in Ohio, on the creek. The first time I saw the male, he was sitting on a tree limb watching our ducks in the water. So I went out just as he dove for one of the Pekin ducks and I got to him before he could lift off, so he let go. She had puncture wounds on her sides, but they weren't bad. We see them all the time now, and their offspring. So neat.

We just get hawks, not sure what kind but I love watching them. Also some kind of owls, which I can hear all the time, but have only seen once...I do get swarms of hummingbirds for a few month.
Would love to have eagles...😍

The ones in my AO don't stray too far from the Shenandoah River except during deer season when they spot a deer gut pile.....Usually after the crows spotted it first.

LOL....My dad killed a buck one morning, gutted it, and when I rode by on the 4-wheeler for the afternoon hunt there were six Eagles feeding on the gut pile. They did not pay any attention to me at all as I putted by.

The farmer that owned the place dug us a pit to put the deer parts left over after we worked them up at hunt camp.

There were always Eagles sitting around till it was limed and covered-up. They would make short work of stripping a rib cage or a bloodshot shoulder that couldn't be saved.

Owls are absolutely gorgeous.

Very vicious predators, too. Keep your babies well guarded. The bigger ones can snatch a human baby, like a newborn.

Daughter and her hubby see these all the time at their local park on the west side of Michigan. Unbelievable comeback for these gorgeous birds....

I wish our bald eagles would go after Canadian Geese. They are a MENACE and they poop everywhere....and they're mean!

I've been keeping track of this couple of bald eagles in Big Bear, CA. They're currently setting on their second clutch of eggs. The first two eggs were unviable and they let the crows take them. But they've been on this second clutch consistently for at least a month:
