It was almost a year ago. Puerto Rico's Dem leaders had spent their island into oblivion. Instead of insisting on spending cuts and the like, Paul Ryan rushed over to O and just handed PR some US taxpayer cash...

Ryan strikes Puerto Rico debt deal with Obama administration

"Ryan (R-Wis.) said last year that helping Puerto Rico restructure its multi-billion-dollar debt would be a top priority for the first quarter of 2016. But conservatives balked at Bishop’s initial proposal, following a series of ads that labeled the measure a “bailout.” "

because it WAS A BAILOUT...

So how'd it work???

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/03/business/dealbook/puerto-rico-debt.html?_r=0

"The governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló, said he would move the island’s debt crisis into federal bankruptcy court, making it the largest government to seek refuge from its creditors in United States history.

Puerto Rico has roughly $73 billion of bond debt, and nearly $50 billion of unfunded pension obligations to restructure."

Like insects, the Dem leaders of PR cleaned the bones off the taxpayer, leaving nothing. Paul Ryan handed them billions, and now that has vanished too.

Paul Ryan and Obama have PhDs in making the taxpayer's money vanish while not helping anyone except the crooks and leeches...

First we drive them into bankruptcy and then we walk away.

No excuse for what has been done to Puerto Rico.

"WE" did not force the DEM leadership of PR to overspend their tax revenues.

The DEMS in PR did that, Luddite.

Where is that "nandcuffing?"

The only handcuffing here should be to handcuff the crooked Dem leaders of PR for making the money vanish.

Nope.

You need to educate yourself. We trashed their economy a long time ago. I suggest you look at what we did before WWII.

We ended their manufacturing and their agriculture and then made it impossible for them to get back up.

If you want to look at recent politics, you'll find a very corrupt tee potty in charge. Much like what we're seeing right now in the WH, he hired family members for everything and used them to sack the treasury.
