The Republican Party has an opportunity to break into two and offer America something so many voters seek; an alternative. Let the Trump branch run off the cliff by itself while the rest of the Party backs strong, practical candidates who would sweep aside the pathetic offerings of the Democratic Party.
This is highly unlikely because of the deep devotion in both parties to the duopoly. They do not have the interest, and certainly not the courage, to trust the people to genuinely back different approaches and new solutions.

He is gonna make life HELL for the repub party and desantis. If you think trump holds any loyalty to party or country....think again. It is all about trump all day, all the time. Can you say Third Party?

He can only do that if A) the Republicans allow it and B) if the Republicans decide he can actually win again.

If the Republicans turn their backs on Trump, there's not much he can do. He can tweet all he wants, but it won't bring them back, nor will it necessarily endear him to his base. If he's deemed to be unelectable, voters will turn to someone, like DeSantis, who is electable.

Personally, while he may run, I don't see him winning. His demeanor will come into play, January 6 will come into play. His mean-spirited tweets will come into play. Everything in his past will matter. And, right or wrong, it will adversely affect him. Think about it: When you've got Republicans saying you're partially responsible for January 6, you've got a major problem. The good things he did; the border, energy independence, low unemployment, will take a back seat.

I've got $1,000 that says, if he runs, Ron DeSantis will be the next President of the United States. Oddly, no one has taken that bet...
