92% of the GDP growth for the first half of the year was investment in AI processing centers.

Without building those data centers GDP growth was 0.1%.

Wal street's current rally is balanced on a one legged stool of AI.

And the tech companies are all very overvalued.

We call this a "bubble".

When it pops, look out.
No, when AI is up and running, then all jobs go bye, bye.

This is the wet dream of every leftist on the planet I thought.

Humanity is busily working and investing for their own destruction.

There is no AI bubble, not even close. Have you seen the customers lining up to buy Nvidia’s chips?

A.I is.accelerating faster than one could predict. The ultimate impact on the economies of.the world has yet to be determined.

So is A.I. technology a bubble? or is it the next big thing? apparently you seem to think it is NOT the next big thing, is all a mirage and will go away... hmmm
Most likely what will happen is the pretenders will be separated from the successful companies and some will fall by the wayside. true.
Chances are though we are only in the begining stages of A.I. technology. So tell us... do you really believe that the upside of A.I. is all over?? care to explain your position?

That is the thing.

When the Dot com bubble burst, the internet did not go away, nor did the economy around the internet.

We lost a good number of startups and lost some cash, but that has been recouped 1000 times since.

The same may happen with the AI explosion. We are at the very beginning of a technological and informational revolution.

I only wish I was younger to take advantage of it.

The thread is nothing more than grasping at straws to ding a many that has broken them.

AI is going to cause quite a few growing pains. One door closes, another opens. I'm just glad Trump is in charge to guide the transition.
You put a lot of faith in an 80-year-old politician in his last term.

All Trump knows is, to compete amongst the political powers of this world, the race for AI is key.

Trump has no real idea where this will all lead, and neither do you.

I simply cannot get out of my head people like Elon Musk saying that people no longer have to work. Everyone will be on welfare Elon? I assume, everyone but YOU!

If AI creates a world where the powers that be no longer dependent on humanity for their power, what becomes of humanity? As it is, they do a piss poor job representing them in government and the corporate world, and that is with them still being dependent on them.

I think AI will be as good as whoever it is that is controlling it. We have communists trying to get control and we have the US trying to get control. I don't know if it will be great in our hands but I'm pretty sure it will be far less harmful with us than with China.

It's just one more weapon that is flirting with our ultimate destruction in a long list of WMD's.

Who told you this lie?

It will not "go away" anymore than the internet did during the dot com crash, but it will not be the never ending money machine folks seem to think it is right now.

During Biden's years of the stock market going up it was just a case of the rich getting richer while the poor continued to suffer.
