75 billion dollars, to the USA, in tariff revenue so far in 2025

The difference is the chaos. No one protests when tariffs make sense. Imposing across the board tariffs then retreating, doesn’t inspire confidence.
So why did Biden increase tariffs in 2024? Most Americans didn’t even know he raised tariffs in 2024.

You seem to need some help on that subject.
You need the help. Here you go. It is Trump his whole life.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias where people with low ability in a specific area tend to overestimate their knowledge or skill in that area. Conversely, those with high ability may underestimate their competence. This effect stems from a lack of self-awareness and the inability to accurately assess one's own limitations.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Overestimation of low-skilled individuals:
People who are genuinely unskilled in a particular area often fail to recognize their own incompetence. They may believe they are performing at an average or even above-average level.

    • Underestimation of high-skilled individuals:
Conversely, those who are highly skilled in a particular area may underestimate their abilities and knowledge. They may assume that what is easy for them is also easy for others, leading them to undervalue their own expertise.
    • Lack of metacognitive skills:
The Dunning-Kruger effect is often attributed to a lack of metacognitive skills, which are the ability to think about one's own thinking and evaluate one's own knowledge and performance.
    • Consequences:
This bias can lead to poor decision-making, miscommunication, and a failure to recognize the need for further learning or improvement. It can also impact professional settings, where individuals may overestimate their qualifications and make detrimental choices.
    • Examples:
A classic example is a student who performs poorly on a test but believes they did well, or a driver who thinks they are excellent behind the wheel despite frequent accidents.
In essence, the Dunning-Kruger effect highlights the discrepancy between a person's perceived competence and their actual competence, particularly in areas where they have limited knowledge or skill.

Your take on this has been right in every post. But I'll point out that manufacturers themselves are opposed to the tariffs. There is not a single product today that is "Made in the USA" in the sense that it is entirely sourced from US components. Every manufacturer depends on foreign parts or supplies. The tariffs have raised costs to those manufacturers, many of whom in turn export, causing them to raise prices.
We haven't seen inflation, yet, because tariffs do not raise inflation. Changes in the money supply raise inflation. But if someone has to spend more on one product, he will spend less on another product. And we are seeing just that, with travel revenue coming down, probably other areas as well.
There could be a drop in purchases but also possible inflation. Neither is good.

That is $75 billion in extra taxes our hard working businesses have been charged.

Many small businesses are going under because of these higher taxes.

Trump can't stop bragging about how much he's ripped them off.

Some of us are educated enough to do both, if we wish. Sorry you're not in that group.
The below describes you. You are an overestimator. Delusion of grandeur.

Yea, but TRUMP IS A PUPPET OF PUTIN AND SAID ALL MEXICANS ARE RAPISTS!

Trump said every single Mexican is a rapist. Even a baby girl born 20 minutes ago…..RAPIST!

"Sir, another oligarch is calling. Line 1."

TRUMP: Hello?

SOROS: Hi, Donald. It's George.

TRUMP: How can I help you, George?

SOROS: Well, I could use a tax break. I need the money to fund my communist takeover of America.

TRUMP: Consider it done. I'll make up the difference by raising import taxes on our capitalist businesses.

SOROS: And no one believes me when I say you are still the old limousine liberal New York Democrat we all knew.

In essence you described yourself perfectly. What a dumbass lol

75 billion dollars, to the USA, in tariff revenue so far in 2025.
That is 87% more than the the same time period in 2024.
Do you know who pays the vast majority of the Tariffs.
US BUSINESSES PAY THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE TARIFFS.
Do you know what the US businesses do after paying the tariff.
Two things
1. absorb the tariff. That reduces their profit.
2. PASS IT ON TO THE US CONSUMERS
Usually a little of each.

Is having increased tariff revenue by the USA a good thing?

I have no issues with raising taxes on businesses but this is a tax on consumers. My company imports a lot and we will be passing all of the cost on to you. I hope you enjoy them. Sadly price elasticity is a real thing and people will buy less with higher prices. We will make less and have to fire people so that investors get their share. This will be repeated by 10's of thousands of companies. Buckle Up!

MAGA does not get it. They rely on Trump to9 define their world.

The old grade school comeback, "I know you are what am I".

Weak and proves you are not he brightest bulb in the batch.
not my fault you use projection to attack those that you don't like and understand. You have a primitive mindset, needing a strong socialist government in your life. MAGA Is superior to you in so many ways believing in Principles of limited government, private property, free speech, free markets, Traditional Values personal accountability and autonomy. We reject you that suck off the government tit, and want to impose your illogical way of life on us. We are winning.

MAGA has no principles. They are a cult. They are controlled by Donald Trump. They do not think for themselves.

Donald Trump has won in finding a large group of Americans who buy his con. His purpose is to increase his personal power and wealth. He could give a shit about you or our country except in ways they can help him.
There have been leaders like this through history. They always lose.
