75 billion dollars, to the USA, in tariff revenue so far in 2025

/——/ 30 billion a month going to reduce the debt. What’s wrong with that?
American businesses and American consumers are paying the "funds".
It is good to lower the debt but be real who is paying the money to decrease the debt.
It is equivalent to a tax increase.

Correct. Increasing taxes/tariffs is what demcrats do.
Is Trump a democrat.
From AI.........Generally, tariffs, which are essentially taxes on imported goods, are paid by the importing businesses in the United States, such as retailers or manufacturers.
However, these importers often pass on the increased costs to consumers through higher prices for goods that contain imported components or are themselves imported.
Economists suggest that the ultimate burden of tariffs largely falls on domestic consumers and businesses.
Here's how it works:

  • Importers pay the tariffs to the government.
    • Raise prices for consumers.
    • Absorb some or all of the cost, which reduces their profit margins.
Factors influencing who bears the burden:
  • Product Elasticity: For products with high demand or few substitutes, the price increase from tariffs is more likely to be passed on to consumers.
  • Market Competition: In highly competitive markets, businesses may be less likely to pass on the full cost of tariffs to avoid losing market share.
In summary, while the initial payment of tariffs is by US importers, the economic reality is that the costs are frequently shifted to consumers through higher prices, making it more accurate to say that the burden of tariffs is shared between importers and consumers.

You're just as ignorant about tariffs as Dotard is.

/—-/ Only if you buy imported goods. BTW, Trump signed a trade deal with China and UK.

A consumption tax weighs harder on those making less money.
We have consumption taxes. Sales tax.
That’s the idea…one can’t keep a shit job, have five babies and ride free with a 0% effective tax rate…It’s time for degenerates to contribute their FAIR SHARE.

Do you know how to write a question?
If you can't dispute the substance go after the grammar. The current secretary of education could use your help. Another great Trump appointee.

This is good news. Put some of this $ back into medicare and SS.

China effective tariff average around 50%.
The tariffs allow US manufacturers to compete but the US manufacturers charge more for the same item that were produced overseas before tariffs.

I am not saying it is bad to buy American but be real who pays for that.

If all Americans wanted to support US manufacturing, we would not need tariffs. Consumers need to buy made in USA products.

American consumers say they want to buy made in America but when they go to the store and they have to pay more, they do not buy America.

That's not winning. We pay more for things we buy now. But you don't have to worry but that because you don't live in America
Stop buying stuff. Be frugal. Buy American now. No tariffs, right?

Fact of Life: If you can't or refuse to write a grammatically correct and properly punctuated sentence, no one will take you seriously.

75 billion dollars, to the USA, in tariff revenue so far in 2025.
That is 87% more than the the same time period in 2024.
Do you know who pays the vast majority of the Tariffs.
US BUSINESSES PAY THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE TARIFFS.
Do you know what the US businesses do after paying the tariff.
Two things
1. absorb the tariff. That reduces their profit.
2. PASS IT ON TO THE US CONSUMERS
Usually a little of each.

Is having increased tariff revenue by the USA a good thing?

US exports were down $96B in May so whether or not you think selling less overseas and paying more for things you buy from overseas is good or bad, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder (and whether or not you wear orange tinted sunglasses I suppose.)

US BUSINESSES PAY THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE TARIFFS.
Do you know what the US businesses do after paying the tariff.
Have any serious studies that this is true?

Kinda like the increases in corporate taxes you loons champion, they get passed onto the consumer.

Tariffs are mostly used to protect domestic products from foreign competition, why is that a bad thing ? I'm sure your answer will end up being "because Trump".

Tariffs are great for those wishing for U.S. government gains at the shared expense of businesses, shareholders, employees, and consumers. It isn't that I'm against taxes themselves, what I do hate is providing money to those that can't handle it and pile up debt.
