Of course I didn't make it up. I got this from the official US debt clock. So it seems like there is a difference in opinion on what the deficit really was in 2008. According to the US National Debt Clock it was only $246 billion. U.S. National Debt Clock 2008
Perhaps it was $246 in early 2008. HARP drove it over 1 trillion. Half of which Bush left to Obama to spend.

The only reason Obama isn't running trillion dollar deficits today is because of the $600 billion in tax increases he's got from Congress. Federal spending increased from $2.801 trillion in 2008 to $3.574 trillion in 2014. Obama spent over $3.5 trillion in 2012 as well. Do you want to blame that on Bush too? Bush's recession ended in 2009. Good luck trying to do that.

Obama is outspending Bush by over $700 billion a year. You guys seem to think the bottom line is all that matters. But then again what you want to consider in the equation isn't the whole story because you select which years matter the most, excluding the years you feel doesn't prove your false narrative.

And you never did answer .... where did you get that $245b figure from? Did you make it up?

Oh, and I wonder why you give Obama a pass on the fact that he has increased the debt twice as much as Bush. Bush increased the debt in 8 years $5 trillion yet Obama did that in his first 3 years. Some only want to look at the percentages and not the actual amounts. Where is your objectivity?

Oh, Obama still had to deal with a recession that Bush caused (yet ended in the first quarter of 09'). How terrible for him. What did Obama do with all of that money he was going to use on 'Shovel-ready Job Creation'? Well ... I guess it didn't go to jobs. Who knows where it went, considering the fact that the job participation rate has gone down and more people are collecting Social Security and Food Stamps than ever before.

That silly little recession wasn't as bad as advertised to be honest. It was just a crisis created by hedgfunders along with alot of help from Democrats and their media. Strange how a huge drop in gas prices can erase so much of that. Despite Obama, the economy has recovered, even though the jobs haven't recovered because the incentive to work is gone, thanks to Obama and his Democrat friends who feel their pain. The cushion they've provide for them has increased the debt to over $18 trillion. More taxes are being paid and fewer folks are working. Wonder how that happened? Maybe that's why jobs are leaving in record numbers. The tax code is a little rougher on the rich. Now Obama wants to make it worse by proposing an increase in the minimum-wage. Politicians at the federal and state level want to throw a turd in the punchbowl by raising gas taxes.

Yup, too much of a good thing is bad for politicians and they always try to figure a way of taking advantage of it.

Of course I didn't make it up. I got this from the official US debt clock. So it seems like there is a difference in opinion on what the deficit really was in 2008. According to the US National Debt Clock it was only $246 billion. U.S. National Debt Clock 2008
Perhaps it was $246 in early 2008. HARP drove it over 1 trillion. Half of which Bush left to Obama to spend.

The only reason Obama isn't running trillion dollar deficits today is because of the $600 billion in tax increases he's got from Congress. Federal spending increased from $2.801 trillion in 2008 to $3.574 trillion in 2014. Obama spent over $3.5 trillion in 2012 as well. Do you want to blame that on Bush too? Bush's recession ended in 2009. Good luck trying to do that.

Obama is outspending Bush by over $700 billion a year. You guys seem to think the bottom line is all that matters. But then again what you want to consider in the equation isn't the whole story because you select which years matter the most, excluding the years you feel doesn't prove your false narrative.

You're a fucking idiot. Not a single penny of TARP was applied to the FY2008 deficit. I like how you blame Bush spending on Obama though. Nice. Reveals a lot for why you think the way you do. Like ignoring how much spending increased in FY2009, for which Bush was largely responsible.

So? What else are you going to get wrong? So far, you got the deficit figures wrong for FY2008 ... you wrongly attributed America's first trillion dollar deficit to Obama ... you wrongly attributed TARP to FY2008 ... and you wrongly attributed ACA to FY2009.
