What does your graph from 10 years show? That more people are in the upper class and middle class then in 1971? Is that a bad thing? What is it today?

We don’t “need” most of what we have. Why should we allow people like to you draw the line? If we allowed a poor family in Africa to determine what we “need”, you would be moving from your condo, selling your vacation cabin, your car, etc.

You mean he didn’t think it was right for the rest of us to subsidize high tax states? You think a person paying 100k in property taxes in the Hamptons should be able to deduct all of that, saving them at least 20-25k(depending on their effective tax rate) in taxes? Isn’t that 25k the federal government doesn’t get? Sorry, they voted for the high taxes, they must live with them and not pass results of their bad decisions on to the rest of us.

Yes they do. Remove the rich and the middle and lower fall. If you don’t allow people to become rich, they won’t and they also won’t perform. The reason we have the most powerful and innovative companies in the world in the US because we allow and promote ambition. Remove US companies from the world equation and we would be living in a much less advanced world.
