I made more than one many years ago living and working in a red state that doesn't have the same income levels as Chicago. If I lived where you live(which I would NEVER do), I would make even more, but would have a lower standard of living due to the cost of living there. As I have mentioned previously, my wife is a physician. It isn't hard to imagine that we have a higher income than the current SS cap.

Regardless, of what you think we make, what about those that do make far more than the cap? Why should they be subsidizing the "safety net"? They already pay more income tax, likely more sales and property taxes can't contribute to ROTH IRA's, didn't get stimulus checks, etc., etc., etc.
