I remember how that pbel schmuck used to post about every six months or so, and he would always make it sound like it JUST happened! "ISRAEL ATTACKS AMERICAN SHIP!!" All in caps for dramatic effect and sounding like breaking news...

In fact, a USA NSA spy plane picked up the transmission of the Israeli pilots. They thought it was an Egyptian ship.
The NSA spy plane transmissions confirms this beyond any shadow of doubt.
Perhaps having an American ship on the coast of Egypt in the middle of a hot war, where Egypt was previously shelling Israel from there wasn't a really good place to be without notifying Israel.

Makes perfect sense. Israel wanted to attack it's one and only ally.Israel wanted to sink the USS Liberty with all sailors aboard and then blame it on Egypt, as a way to drag America into the conflict.
But the ship refused to sink, and Israel had to cease the attack, and invent a cover story to hide the truth.

One of the most investigated incidents in history happened 60 years ago...almost every govt agency had an investigation and guess what...they came to the same conclusion...IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. Period end of story.
But you asswipes don't want to let it go. Because again, that's all ya got. How about USS Cole, the Lebanon US marine barrack bombing which killed over 250 US servicemen...all by Muslim animals. Any terrorism and mass murder involving Muslim animals doesn't count.

The US has a reason to lie, if it wanted to continue to support Israel, then it needed to lie, and Israel would need to lie, if what the OP said were true or even partially true.
