Well, to your first point, that might be what you all say, but in reality that's not how you all act. Just for example look at all the studies that show dems or person that ID as leftist, are far more selfish then people that ID as Conservative. The difference between the two has always been selfishness v personal responsiblity.

Conservatives, believe in the individual and individual rights, but recognize that out of many, we are one...hence the more charity they tend to give.
