EAST PRICE HILL, Ohio (Larry Davis) -- Videos that made their way around Facebook and other social media sites had neighbors talking about fears of violence. The video showed a man and two women carrying around high-powered weapons. They made no attempt to hide their weapons and the videos are full of racial slurs. The voice in the video was that of a man who recorded three of his friends walking through the streets of East Price Hill. They flaunted the fact that they are legally carrying AR-15's through the neighborhood.

Since that video was recorded, Cincinnati police have arrested two of the four people in connection with the recent CIRV initiative. Charged were Jesse Deboard, the man heard on the video. The other was identified as Stephanie Coverman. Warrants are out for Chris Masters and Christina Tharp. The repeated bleeps of the 'n' word, which Local 12 was told is common street talk about white gangs; while it may be racially insensitive, police do not believe it is racially motivated. Fortunately, this type of behavior is not something seen often. Outrage is understandable but officials urge people to fight the urge to act alone. If you encounter situations like the one you saw, the best thing you can do is walk away, call police, and report exactly what you saw and heard.

At least they're not pretending its all about the second amendment.

Hyperbole about high powered baby-killing doom engines aside, the .308 and 30-06 your dad took hunting is a much more powerful round than that AR-15, with a far longer range (especially with good glass) and better ballistics. That deer rifle, I mean sniper platform, is a real threat and should be dealt with immediately by banning, right?

Not that any of that matters to someone who just wants guns gone and is willing to pull at emotional fear strings.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to carry an AR around. Mine is heavy because it's loaded with military optics and huge mags. It is fine tuned battle weapon. It makes little sense unless you're trying to prove a point by attracting attention which the dorks in this example obviously are. Just because you can do it doesn't always mean you should do it.

Most importantly, the cops aren't very smart. They don't know the law or some Attorney General has given the city attorney a mixed appraisal of open carry which means the pigs are going to mow mother fuckers down because they're too stupid and, most importantly, not accustomed to seeing mofos walking around with AR's except themselves of course. Theoretically, I could legally carry mine though the streets slung and not brandishing, but I'm not willing to put my chances on a PTSD psycho, rhoid raging, ex-military, bald headed pig to do the right thing.
