Elon Musk’s SpaceX is set to lift off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on September 15 with an all-civilian crew for the first time. These four people had never been to space, and they spent six months training for it.

Every single Mercury Mission (and their Soviet equivalent) went into space without an astronaut on board. But, they all came back with one.

Just saw the launch to the south of me, saw the separation up there in space and the trail it left.
