$34.8B, that seems like a lot.

Wind and solar are unreliable and don't work (like city Stain) for massive populations.

Enjoy you panel at your RV lot or put one in your lake cabin but SHUP until it works. Get off us//
As part of an integrated grid, they function quite well.

You know what doesn't work? Exported natural gas.

Stupid OX, I'm in CA and the hot hot SW too. There is no massive solar. If it's not there? Where will it be?

Even Commee CA can't force it to work and be installed. It's costly backup, intermittent power at best.

Done with your BS. If we got Gas to sell? Even better. Like Oil, the earth makes more.

Solar produces about a quarter of energy in California.

And growing.

Did you know that?

Like I said all for it if it works. It doesn't work at night or in rain or in cold cloudy winter. No GOVT doctored report by GW alarmist is going to sway me to believe.

Put 25 panels on you roof. See how you like it. I'll wait till alternative is affordable and works. With storage if need be.

It does work. Demand is highest during daytime and summer months. Same time solar panel output is highest.

I have 18 panels and it covers 60% of my electricity usage.

Trump cancels billions in clean energy grants while increasing subsidies for oil and gas

On Oct. 2, the Trump Department of Energy announced it was cancelling over $7.5 billion in federal funding for 223 clean energy projects that the administration argues would be a waste of taxpayer dollars. The projects are mostly in states that voted for Democrat Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election.

But President Trump’s own landmark legislation signed in July, the “Big Beautiful Bill,” grants an additional $4 billion a year in new taxpayer subsidies to the fossil fuel industry. According to a recent report from Oil Change International, including existing fossil fuel subsidies, the U.S. federal government will subsidize the production of oil, gas, and coal by at least $34.8 billion per year in coming years.

Meanwhile.........

Electricity prices are climbing more than twice as fast as inflation

More than anything perhaps yesterday's election results are a case of the public recognizing the regime's misplaced priorities. Like supporting legacy energy's production of products that are killing the environment. Sending out dozens of pictures on social media of a WH bathroom renovation while 42M Americans are concerned about food security. Pardoning a criminal involved in the crypto biz because he helped you make hundreds of millions of dollars.

Voters want their government to make their lives better. trump has other concerns. It shows.
Trump continues to be a clueless idiot, reckless, irresponsible, and out of touch.

Gas prices have dropped a $0.08-0.09 since Trump took over, not 7%. LOL I like how you want to give credit to Trump for the price decreases in gasoline under Biden by using vs last year. Nice try. You'll need to get up way earlier in the morning to pull that shit on me.

Utility prices have gone up 11%.
Gasoline in my city in October, 2024 averaged exactly $3.00 according to AI, and $2.80 in October of this year. That;s a difference of 7%.

What now?

Gasoline in my city in November, 2024 was $2.87 according to AI. Yesterday, I paid $2.49. That's 12%. I don't know anybody who has it anywhere near last year's price. It's been lower all year compared to the corresponding month of last year.

What now?
I use national reporting services on gas prices because they vary place to place. You obviously know I am not going to value the change in gas at your local station against your memory of when Biden passed prices over to Trump. Also quit trying to take Biden’s months of reductions and give it to Trump.

You are aware you can only compare corresponding months, since gasoline prices are seasonal, right? In nearly every month-to-month comparison, the difference is over 7%

It discusses the likelihood of Trump's economic policies to negatively impact energy costs - which we are seeing real time. Here is the rise in energy costs plotted with tariff increases.

Why would you plot 2 unrelated items in the same chart?

Green mandates and subsidies for less reliable, more expensive green energy makes energy more expensive.

Eliminate the stupid mandates, stop pretending CO2 is a hazard and build more nuclear.

You're on quite a losing streak.

Wind and Solar Energy Are Cheaper Than Electricity from Fossil-Fuel Plants

Next you'll be telling us vaccines cause autism. :auiqs.jpg:

You okay with this?

I'm definitely not OK with that.

Greentards don't know how math works, they should stop putting out fake numbers.

It's funny. The Republicans voted as a bloc against the green energy bill.

Then they went back to their districts and bragged about bringing those green energy projects back home.

I kid you not.

How can anyone tolerate such two-faced scum?

I notice Trump is not canceling THOSE green energy projects.

When Republicans said they were going to be the most transparent government EVAH, I bet you didn't know what they meant was they would be the most transparent hypocrites ever.

Getting federal dollars back to your district has always been a political winner.

Even when it's a massive waste of money and makes energy more expensive.

Same thing happened with infrastructure projects they voted against. They aren't just hypocrites, they're shameless.

Lazard calculates an energy resource's levelized cost, or LCOE, by dividing a project's lifetime energy production by its cost.

That is truly a moronic way to measure the cost of a project.

All of this was supposed to be introduced very slowly and not forced on people. And a percentage of it has. For the money invested in green energy we should have better results, and it should be cheaper than fossil fuels. We now know that the world is not ending from using oil in 2030 cause you guys shut up on that lie. However, it could be something else that would force the elites to do us all a favor and take more control over our lives. Anyway, the Prog states may keep investing in green energy and their citizens will pay higher prices. We get at least three more years of Republicans before a potential Prog administration will again invest quadrillions of dollars on green energy and slow down oil.
