More than 215,000 Indians have signed an online petition urging the federal government to free Harjinder Singh, the illegal migrant trucker who killed three Americans by doing an 18-wheeler U-Turn on a Florida turnpike. Instead of a prison sentence, the petition asks their fellow Indian be sentenced to “restorative justice measures, counseling, or community service, aligning with both accountability and compassion.”
The accident echoes the imported Indian highway culture. “Risk-taking is another prevalent characteristic of Indian drivers,” Indian author Rohit Singh said in a 2024 article:

"Most Indian drivers do not think twice before overtaking from the wrong side, speeding on crowded streets, or ignoring traffic signals. This I-care-a-damn and daredevil attitude is a product of the belief that getting ahead, even if only by a few seconds or minutes, is more important than safety. The lack of strict enforcement of traffic laws further emboldens drivers to undertake risky maneuvers, endangering themselves and others."

That is almost unbelievable (these idiots demanding that he be released). And yet, we live in a crazy world, so why am I shocked? I guess it just never ceases to amaze me how STUPID--and lawless people can be..

Accidents happen. But it is NOT an accident that the state of WA gave this illegal a DL. THEN, not to be outdone in STUPID

CA gave him a CDL (which he didn't pass any more than he passed the WA driver license)!

Whoever issued those documents should be considered murderers.

NO he should not. I seriously doubt he intended to kill anyone, esp strangers..

Maybe some dims should get the death penalty for having stupid policies and/or violating laws on the books to give illegals a DL.

This guy was from India. Guess what's happening in India and other countries? Christians are being persecuted, sometimes in awful ways.

Of course he didn't intend to kill them, but he knew he was posing an enormous risk to other drivers and might kill them.

That's not a good analogy. The guy probably thought that even though he didn't pass those tests, he could drive. Maybe he thought, like many Americans, that the tests ask somewhat irrelevant questions. All I know is that he shouldn't get the death penalty because only those who deliberately kill should.

Harjinder Singh is the suspect in the Fort Pierce crash, and officials have said that he did not pass English and road tests, according to officials.

Singh, who entered the United States illegally, was given a full-term commercial driver’s license in Washington in July 2023, despite not legally being allowed to, and was given a limited-term commercial driver’s license in California in 2024, and the Department of Transportation is looking into if it complied with federal regulations.



WA gave him a full term CDL, and Cali gave him a limited term CDL a year later. The guy(s) need to spend some time behind bars, though the proposed 45 years does seem a bit excessive........and I say guys (plural), because of his passenger, that is probably an illegal as well, probably has his own CDL's and should be charged as an accessary.

THEN both WA & CA should also face some kind of legal charges for allowing this to happen
