I haven't had time to study the horses or track conditions. Should be a good race and another long shot could win depending on conditions.

5'8'9'17 Box is my picks with out knowing track conditions. Playing all betting categories, These four come across the finish line together no matter the order I win. I wont put any money on it but its fun to pretend. I need more information to bet. Tappan was my choice but he is out do to injury.

Thanks for the reminder, that it is tomorrow.

Journalism is the overwhelming favorite of people who know horses, but there is rain forecast so anything can happen. Citizen Bull is probably the second most favorite to win, and I think Luxor Cafe is a Japanese horse that has a very successful father, American Pharaoh, so it is getting a lot of buzz.

Sloppy track look for a long shot to win.

I try to make it a point to watch every year, I seem to forget more often than not. The tag line, "The most exciting two minutes in sports" is so good it deserves some sort of an award...

In recent years, however, I find myself less and less enamored with horse racing. I think it's the frequent injuries. Horses are such beautiful animals, it almost feels like abuse...

Coal Battle is a mudder. I need to go check the odds.
Favorites win less than 35% of the time in the Derby. But come in the top 3, 63% of the time. They always need to be in exactas and trifectas.
Baffert pulled one of his horses. Morning line for his other is 20 to 1. And so is Coal Battle.
Sovereignty is trained by Mott. One of the best.

I have no clue but if I was betting, just for fun, I'd go with post position 7, Luxor Cafe to win.

Now this was determined by looking at the post postings as reported by CBSsports.com, and placing into an Excel spreadsheet the formula =RANDBETWEEN(1,21). Upon pressing enter, 7 was returned.

Mine are close to that. I'm doing exacta and triple boxes on 8, 9, 17 and 21 with a bet on 8 to win. And I do have money on them. You just reminded me that I didn't check the odds yet today. I love the triple crown races. I used to go to all of them before I started to get annoyed by big crowds. Good luck to all. 11hrs till the "Riders up" command.

I have been to the Kentucky Derby and to some wild parties. Fun times.
