2017 NFL Draft

No one will know how good or bad these draft pick will be for a few years.

Pats picked up a pass rusher, an heir apparent for soon-to-be FA Nate Solder, a D-line guy who can also play special teams, and some much-needed O-line depth; they also traded with the Chiefs for TE James O'Shaughnessey. All in all, not bad.

Speaking of the Patriots, Detroit GM Quinn was there as an assistant GM for years and will build the Lions in the same manner......solid guys who know their role, stay in their zone, and HIT. No-name CBs, LBs, a TE and WR from the MAC, etc....team captains, no thugs or dopers. He built the right side of the OL with two FA Pro-Bowlers, the left side solid from last year's draft. He feels the new guys can open holes the RBs haven't seen in the past so he didn't draft an RB....thankfully, Mixon will never wear a Lions uni as long as Mrs. Ford is alive. The mock crowd is giving Quinn a solid "B" on his picks....sounds like the Patriot Way to me.

Detroit 3rd Round pick is maybe the next Megatron? :disbelief: Gollywood? This kid is a tad shorter and a couple tenths slower than Calvin Johnson but it could happen. Some writer wanted Quinn to stop playing it safe and swing for the fences and this kid might be the dinger of the draft for the Lions.

They picked a dude
