Not everyone was on-board with Obama's plan to wage his own private 'proxy war' against Assad / Syria, which involved spending millions to supply, arm, and train 'rebels'...like ISIS...and for speaking out against the plan Intel Analysts were punished.
Assessing Intel and giving their assessment / opinion on Intel issues is their job. Liberals have attacked Bush for providing false Intel to support his decision to go to war in Iraq. Where has the equal criticism for Obama been? Where is it?
Despite the Intel NOT backing his LIE in 2012, Obama declared any way that Al Qaeida was on the run and the War on terror was over I an attempt to bolster his chances to win re-election.
Prior to dragging the US into the middle of a civil war between rebels / terrorists and another dictator, the Intel suggesting the 'rebels'...and terrorists...we would be supplying, arming, training, and protecting were capable of getting the job done, were committed to getting the job done, and/or would somehow be 'loyal' to us was simply not there...according to the 2 Intel analysts who claim they have been 'punished' for speaking out against the plan.
CENTCOM analysts reportedly claim to have lost jobs over Syria warnings | Fox News
After Obama's embarrassing 'Red Line' fiasco he was determined to redeem himself by seeing Assad overthrown. He had no intention of going before Congress to request the official authorization to do it, as with Libya, so what makes anyone think he would take the advice / Intel report from 2 analysts who disagreed with his plan?
After the fact, turns out the analysts were right....
