Zionists are colonists? These 2,000-year-old coins minted by Jews are inscribed with “Redemption of Zion” in Hebrew during the Jewish war against the occupying Roman Empire. Zion is a biblical word referring to Jerusalem and Israel. Zionists are the indigenous people dating back to antiquity. Can you show me ancient coins minted by “Palestinians”?

If they find any empty coke bottles redeemable only in Zion, it will be a slam dunk case!

The word Zionism (really Zionismus from the German) didn't exist until 1886. So there weren't any Zionists prior to that. Palestine was a region in the Ottoman Empire and therefore not a separate country. The Ottoman Empire allowed Jews to settle in that area, but rejected calls for it to become an independent country. After the Ottoman Empire collapsed due to its defeat in WWI the League of Nations put Britain in charge of the area, where it was known as the British Mandate. During that time tens of thousands of Jewish colonists settled there. It became an independent nation in 1948, so anyone arriving after that time obviously isn't a colonist. The Left has a habit of throwing around terms like colonist without concern for accuracy, but the fact that there were Jews living there 2000 years ago has nothing to do with the situation today.

The word ZION exists in the old testament. Was that written before 1886? I think probably so.

Zion appears in the Old Testament 152 times as a title of Jerusalem; over half of these occurrences appear in two books, the Book of Isaiah (46 times) and that of Psalms (38 times). It appears seven times in the New Testament and five times in quotations from the Old Testament.

The fact that Jews have continuously inhabited Israel for 2,000 years to today, and much earlier, validates Jews’ indigeneity.

Number of times Jerusalem appears in the Koran: Zero. Not even once.

Yes it's always fun to see them find my name on ancient coins, tablets, scrolls, stones, and buildings.
“Redemption (HaSheva) of Zion” in Hebrew
Hebrew: HaSheva-redeemer redemption redeeming in definition, in a name: Ha(the) Shev- 'a'('of God')

Israel was conquered by the Romans. Jews didn't get the land back under their control until 1948. Continuous occupation is meaningless.

Zion is an old word. Zionist and Zionism are only about a 140 years old.
If you are talking about English words then you will be limited to English words. If you look at the Hebrew, try Psalm 126, verse two which discusses the dream of returning to Zion. That's Zionism from the bible.

They could return to Zion without having their own government. They did it both during the Ottoman Empire and the British Mandate.

So now you are changing your claim? In fact, though, the biblical dream of returning to Zion included a return to autonomous living in Zion which is why it is often coupled with the return of the Jewish monarchy. Jewish law and literature dating back over 2000 years is rife with discussions of laws that relate to living in, and running, Zion/Israel.

The Zionism we have today is a curious mix of political and religious Zionism, neither being completely in charge, and neither being completely satisfied.

Conquered by Greeks, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Turks and Egyptians at one time or another.
