Read this morning that Christmas spending was the lowest since the recession began in 2008. This is not good.
Retailers and credit card companies are reporting abysmal consumer spending - hoping for post-Christmas spending to better the dilemma.

If the economy is recovering, as many believe, then why the poor XMAS consumer spending?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The indicators are not good:

U.S. holiday retail sales this year were the weakest since 2008, when the nation was in a deep recession. In 2012, the shopping season was disrupted by bad weather and consumers’ rising uncertainty about the economy.

A report that tracks spending on popular holiday goods, the MasterCard Advisors SpendingPulse, said Tuesday that sales in the two months before Christmas increased 0.7 percent, compared with last year. Many analysts had expected holiday sales to grow 3 to 4 percent.

November though was a good month. Just wait the numbers so far are about the same as last year. I am sure more numbers will be added when you add in the number of rifles, guns and ammo.

funny things is, the final accounting will not be available till next month. Happy Holidays.
And your point?
