1956 Marlin 39A Golden

I found another Marlin 39A .22 lever action this morning....I gave a bit more ($500.00) for this one due to it's very good condition.

This one has a 24" barrel. It came with a period Marlin sling, JM marked hammer extension, and a Weaver D4 steel tubed 4X scope.

I guess I have the long and the short of it now.

Do you have a chrono? The difference the barrel lengths make to muzzle velocity would be fascinating.

Quick and dirty....CCI Mini Mag HP out of a 20" barrel is about the same as CCI Standard out of a 24" barrel.

Correction....It's a 1962 rifle....I misread the serial prefix....Damn my old eyes.
