Ukraine is the rough equivalent of the Spanish Civil War. Contain Russia now, and stand astride the western alliance.

Trump has often claimed he would end the Ukrainian war in 24 hours. That sounds a little farfetched, but he has recently doubled down by claiming he would end it before he is inaugurated on Jan 20. If he accomplishes an agreement that ends the war, I will certainly give him credit for the accomplishment even though I have opposed him for a long time.
