The part about 1619 project that is, or at least used to be, about unearthing and preserving black history while it can still be discovered I support. There are things that happened in America that are part of black history that I didn’t know anything about.

I never learned about the Greenwood massacre in school

I never learned about the Tuskegee experiments in school

I never learned how blacks served in the military in World War II

The list is endless

looking at the diversity of America today, it’s obvious that American history wasn’t all white

I know nothing about Project 1619 and I do not want to.

But it is obvious that 1619 was a pivotal year in the history of the nation that came to be named the United States of America.

As we have witnessed since the 1960s, the social situation in this country is deteriorating and the nation may implode sometime in the next century because of the fatal mistake of forcing people to come here to work for free.

Anyone in 1619 should have known that it was a very, very, very bad idea and that it would eventually lead to tragedy for everyone (as the Civil War proved).
