14-year-old attempted terrorist caught in Jerusalem

Quote

An Arab minor was caught with a hidden knife on Wadi Road in Jerusalem's Old City yesterday (Monday). During police questioning, he admitted that he intended to carry out a terror attack.

The youth, a 14-year-old from the Shuafat refugee camp in northern Jerusalem, said that he heard about the attack perpetrated by his friends at the Damascus Gate on Saturday, and decided to do the same himself.

He arrived at the Old City and began searching for Jewish targets.

Before he was able to harm anyone, though, police noticed his suspicious actions and stopped him. During a body search they found a knife ready for stabbing innocent civilians.

In addition to this suspect, Border Police and the IDF arrested ten terrorists in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods of Abu Dis and Azaria last night.

I'm glad he was apprehended in time.
I hope he receives the right treatment, so instead of rebelling further and inciting more such attacks,
there is a chance to teach the youth like him NOT to follow in the same destructive footsteps of
the generations before that have gone nowhere this way.

The pattern of retribution must break at some point.
Why not start with the youth, and unite for their sake and what they stand to inherit or to lose
if this destruction continues.

Why condition more and more division and retribution, back and forth.
Where are the younger leaders who want to set a new course that leads to a better place than this?

Exactly. Its tragic that the younger generations get sucked into this. Some of my detractors might pass it off but the humane thing to do is just win the war. Go at the pali's like there's no tomorrow and be done with it. So many innocents on both sides would be saved by simply ending this nonsense.

Follow the Geneva Conventions to the letter and get it done. This 14 year old kid has no clue what he's involved in, just following the incredibly bad parenting he's had so far.

Its beyond criminal

Another of the so called "kids" that Israel is often falsely accused of killing. Now if Israel actually ended up killing this beast, the entire Muslim neo Nazi community would be braying "the Zionists are killing innocent children!"

Why should Israel care for Palestinian youth when the Palestinian cowards use their kids as ammunition in order to publicize their deaths?

As the Secretary General of the United Nations said:

" No one can deny that the everyday reality of occupation provokes anger and despair, which are major drivers of violence and extremism and undermine any hope of a negotiated two-state solution."

You can only oppress a people so much before even the children and elderly begin to turn to violence.

ThE Geneva Conventions?

He's an unlawful combatant. I think the traditional punishment is death, is it not?

Is that really what you are suggesting?

Alternatively, you could hold him as a POW until the Confilict ends.

Should be any day now...

That's pretty much what Hitler thought about the Jews. He thought the best thing was to go at the Jews like there was no tomorrow. Men, women and children. You fit right in.

Bad parenting? Do you think this Jewish resistance fighter had bad parenting too? You are so transparent.

"A. Romi Cohen was a precocious, active 10-year old when the Nazis invaded Poland. Soon afterward, they and their puppet regime took over his native Czechoslovakia, and for the next five years he was a hunted fugitive and a valiant fighter with the partisans."

Yes, bad parenting. The Geneva convention limits child solders to 16 and up.

Something else you are applying that selective memory of yours to is that international law recognizes ones right to self defense, without an age limit for spontaneous defense.

The age limit comes into play in organized armies.

So your inability to comprehend that war is any ongoing armed conflict and that this particular war was declared by the Arab League in 1948 and has been ongoing every since, blinds you to a few simple facts.

The Arab forces fall in one of two categories. That of an illegal aggressive belligerent combatant, or that aid or are suspected of aiding or acting as an illegal aggressive belligerent combatant.

Which covers damn near all of them.

So when you pitch a 14 year old with a bomb vest at border guards its pretty obvious your the aggressor. Every nation has a right to maintain its sovereign borders. Not only that your guilty as sin of war crimes for involving a kid of 14.

Blinded by racism and hatred is no excuse.

No actually, the people are violent, barbaric, and genocidal to begin with.

Funny you say that, because you and the Palestinian terrorists say the same things about Jews that the Nazis did.

True story.

That Jewish kid was under 14 and a soldier. Was he parented badly? Were the parents of the Jewish kid "guilty as sin". Or do you only reserve your criticism for non-Jews?

The war was declared by the European Zionists when they began ethnically cleansing and murdering the non-Jews. The Arab League intervened in an attempt to stop the Zionists from committing ethnic cleansing and murdering the non-Jews.

The Zionists came from Europe and invaded to colonize Palestine. The native people, invaded by foreigners from a different continent cannot possibly start a war, the invader starts the war. That is just simple logic.

The difference is more than obvious. One is a defensive act and the other an illegal offensive act of war.

The right to defend oneself is expressed in multiple areas of international law. The right to act aggressively against a sovereign nation is not.

The day Israel became a sovereign nation the Arab League declared war and began its long and brutal occupation of Israeli territory. An occupation that continues to this day.

At this stage of the game the Arabs have resorted to thrusting their own children forward on one despicable act after in some sick attempt to gain world sympathy.

And its not working

The world is outraged and its exactly these kind of acts that will eventually justify the use of overwhelming force to halt further violence. Particularly violence where children are exploited like what we've seen so much of lately

How can resistance by native people that have been invaded by people from another continent be characterized as offensive? It is logical impossibility.

Oppressors call resistance to oppression terrorism. Mandela was deemed a terrorist by the oppressors and their allies.

A racist like you would call non-Jews "subhuman". That's exactly how the Nazis characterized the Jews. You are in good company.

blah blah blah...yes dipstick, the US and most of the civilized world have correctly designated Hamas as terrorists because they commit barbaric atrocities that only subhuman animals do And since you're the one who's constantly supporting and justifying these intolerant bigoted savages that target Jews because of their race, religion, and ethnicity, you would be the one in good company with the Nazis.
