  • That's so funny! I cringe when I hear his voice - I kid you not! It's the band, not the message! :D
History can be a wonderful teacher, I highly recommend it. You are learning some valuable lessons here. Kudos to open-mindedness.
Must be nice. I'm 20 minutes from Red Rocks, and Red Rocks is pretty amazing, but, I hear, not as good as the Gorge. I saw Rat Dog and the Allmans there last year. It was awesome.
No, I've never been to the Gorge but many of my friends have and they all rave about how its an amazing venue, in fact, the best they've ever been to. I'd love to see some great music there, but the 20 hour drive...
G Love and the Special Sauce sorry! I guess the GrateFul Dead minus Jerry is coming to the gorge which is near here this summer along with Phish well not together. My friends wanted me to go to Phish but I don't shroom anymore. lol Instead I told my friend I would go to ColdPlay with here. We will see how that goes?????????
Never heard of Glove. I went to a Sound Tribe Sector Nice concert once. Terrible experience, although the drummer was very impressive. He was a machine who didn't stop playing for the two or three hours they were on. Ever seen Dark Star Orchestra? If you like the Grateful Dead, these guys sound just like them (including the voices) and play the Dead better than the Dead ever did.
I HATE Phish, except for one song "Free". My friends can't understand why I can't stand Phish considering the level of musicianship they think I have attained, but, there's no accounting for tastes... Same with String Cheese and Widespread: I can't stand'em. In fact, I don't even like jam band music. But I love The Grateful Dead (and Band of Gypsys which were improvisational to a certain extent).
