Mostly Canadian but some US names you might recognize would be Ronnie Spector and Grace Slick. Their record companies would hire me to promote them.
Or to track airplay. For example, BMI hired me to track Eddie Schwartz (who is not a household name) but a singer songwriter who wrote Hit me with your best shot. I received a Juno from Eddie for tracking his "All our tomorrows".
A Juno is the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy.
