You are going to HELL!!!

only liberal maniacs believe hitler was christian because that falls in line with their own racist philosopical and quasi theological underpinnings

That was one of the most stupid posts that I have ever read.

What religion was Hitler? Jew? Muslim?

if youre not smart enough to understand the post then there is no reason to give you anymore information, i would not want to overload your puny pea sized brain. But I will give you this, hitler was his own religion, he was messiah, mein kampf his "holy book" and the swastika his religious symbol. hitler was the perfect socialist.

i've never seen any evidence of naziism being a religion, mein kampf being a bible or hitler being a "messiah". i'm sure you have some evidence other than your own opinion. because frankly, it's quite clear to anyone who's ever studied the subject that naziism was rather earthly in its goals.

as for hitler being a christian, i don't know if he was or wasn't. his actual personal beliefs are fairly irrelevant. he did, however, use christianity as a rallying point for his fellow germans.

When I am told by someone that I will go to hell for eternity if I do not believe in Jesus, it peaks my curiousity. I wonder: why is going to hell such a big deal?

And it turns out that it is a VERY big deal to the person that believes it.

And to then extrapolate that same damnation to everyone worldwide that does not believe in Jesus...that's just bullshit.

I would like to ask two questions (to those who believe the above):

WHY IS YOUR RELIGION THE ONLY CORRECT ONE?

...and...

WHY IS THE PENALTY FOR NOT BELIEVING IT SO HARSH?

I have been utterly convinced, not by being close minded, and being afraid that someone would think that I am a freak. But because I was and am open to the facts, the truth and the way, I sought Peace, and to be as good as I can. And ya know what I found? That I have to do nothing, absolutely nothing but accept His free gift.

This is as sincere as I can be without taking up more bandwidth

there is difference in religion and faith.

Hitler was anything but a Christian, yes he used it to gain the trust of the German people, Hitler was into the occult, he wanted to have power over anyone, he was a racist. A religion can be anything that anyone makes into a religion, it is what they worship. Money and greed can become a religion for some. Sex, drugs, TV, work...you name it

Political Correctness has become a sort of religion of the left

Hitler was a student of Nietzsche. Look at the evidence...

1. Hitler obviously saw himself as the Ubermensch, dictating right and wrong.

2. Hitler's obsession with the Jewish "slave race" and the Aryan "master race" are right out Nietzsche's book.

3. Hitler personally visited the Nietzsche Archives at least seven times while writing Mein Kampf.

aside from again, his actual beliefs being fairly irrelevant, it's kind of funny... hitler SAID he was a christian. are you engaging in revisionist history by saying he wasn't?

and the white supremacists in this country certainly assert their own christian identity.

you deny that too? is that a plot of "liberal maniacs"? :cuckoo:

i find most people who use their religion as a political tool, a la pat robertson, have little faith and a great deal of mouth.

but why the revisionism? white supremacists in this country are clear about their own christianity, as were hitler's followers. (which isn't to say that catholics weren't one of hitler's bigger targets).

i'm not sure how discussing the facts surrounding hitler is a "left/right" issue.

im not supriesd, you will actually have to pick up and read a book to know what the deal is.

And even fewer paused to reflect that under the leadership of Rosenberg, Bormann, and Himmler, who were backed by Hitler, the Nazi regime intended eventually to destroy Christianity in Germany, if it could, and substitute the old paganism of the early tribal Germanic gods and the new paganism of the Nazi extremists. As Bormann, one of the men closest to Hitler, said publically in 1941, 'National Socialism and Christianity are irreconcilable'.

"What the Hitler government envisioned for Germany was clearly set out in a thirty-point program for the 'National Reich Church' drawn up during the war by Rosenberg, an outspoken pagan, who among his other offices, held that of 'the Fuehrer's Delegate for the Entire Intellectual and Philosophical Education and Instruction for the National Socialist Party.' A few of the thirty articles convey the essentials:

"1. The National Reich Church of Germany categorically claims the exclusive right and the exclusive power to control all churches within the borders of the Reich: it declares these to be the national churches of the German Reich.

"5. The National Church is determined to exterminate irrevocably....the strange and foreign Christian faiths imported into Germany in the ill-omened year 800.

"7. The National Church has no scribes, pastors, chaplains, or priests, but National Reich orators are to speak in them.

"13. The National Church demands immediate cessation of the publishing and dissemination of the Bible in Germany...

"14. The National Church declares that to it, and therefore to the German nation, it has been decided that the Fuehrer's Mein Kampf is the greatest of all documents. It....not only contains the greatest but it embodies the purest and truest ethics for the present and future life of our nation.

"18. The National Church will clear away from its altars all crucifixes, Bibles, and pictures of saints.

"19. On the altars there must be nothing but Mein Kampf (to the German nation and therefore to God the most sacred book) and to the left of the altar a sword.

"30. On the day of its foundation, the Christian Cross must be removed from all churches, cathedrals, and chapels...and it must be superseded by the only unconquerable symbol, the swastika."

--------------------

Hitler stated at one point to Bormann concerning his true attitude towards the Christian clergy in Germany,

"I'll make these d***ed parsons feel the power of the state in a way they would have never believed possible. For the moment, I am just keeping my eye upon them: if I ever have the slightest suspicion that they are getting dangerous, I will shoot the lot of them. This filthy reptile raises its head whenever there is a sign of weakness in the State, and therefore it must be stamped on. We have no sort of use for a fairy story invented by the Jews."
Further, Hitler also stated,

"It would always be disagreeable for me to go down to posterity as a man who made concessions in this field. I realize that man, in his imperfection, can commit innumerable errors -- but to devote myself deliberately to errors, that is something I cannot do. I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie. Our epoch in the next 200 years will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity.... My regret will have been that I couldn't... behold."

1) Why would anyone have a religion if they didn't believe it was the only correct religion?
I've heard some religious people say there are many paths to God.
2) I don't believe those who haven't yet met Christ are going to hell, that's not for me to decide and Christ taught that God was a loving God. Personally, I think that whole thing was made up by people to scare others into converting, and it's been passed down ever since. Few Christians question it, but I do.

Only one very narrow gate though.

I don't think I missed the point at all. I think you're trolling Christians. Most all religions have a punishment for not believing but you didn't address that general case, you made this about Christianity. And, you said you had some Christian teaching in your background which makes it seem even more unlikely that you're baffled but the beliefs of some. But whatever, it still seems to me that if you don't believe it you wouldn't be bothering with any of this. I don't think atheists are right and I'm secure in that belief, you don't see me starting threads asking them to justify their beliefs because it doesn't matter to me, I'm not secretly worried that they might be on to something.

And for me there's nothing to weigh in on. I don't believe anyone is going to hell.

Well, aren't you just so cute and....self-righteous! You must just love bein' a Christian, because self-righteousness is such an inherent part of feeling good about religion and being one of God's Chosen. Unlike those others!

Right out of the liberal playbook... when you got nothing go with a personal attack. You've really fallen CMM. I'd be saying the same thing if the OP had been directed at ANY religion, because seriously, if you don't believe why would you care?

And your broad brush is making you look foolish. I identify as Christian because it's the closest thing I know of to what I believe but I don't think any church preaches exactly what I believe so you're "God's Chosen" crap is failing.

That was quite informative. I wonder how many of the babbling incoherent goobers (i.e., the so-called "liberals" here) will now stop to ponder that just because they like to make empty claims does not mean that they are right.

I don't think it really matters if Christianity and Socialism are irreconcilable.

1) Why would anyone have a religion if they didn't believe it was the only correct religion?
I've heard some religious people say there are many paths to God.
2) I don't believe those who haven't yet met Christ are going to hell, that's not for me to decide and Christ taught that God was a loving God. :)

You know, when His Holiness the Dali Lama was asked about how many religions he thought should be, he said about as many people as there are on the planet. The reason he said that? Because he stated that we all understand God in our own way.

It's only the fanatical Christians that say unless you accept Yeshua, you go to hell for eternity. But, what about the Hebrews? After all, they are God's Chosen People, and Yeshua was Jewish!

What about the Buddhists? What about the Hindus (legend has it that Yeshua wrote the Tibetan Book of the Dead while visiting India)?

You know.......people can't even agree on the same viewpoint about what to do with this country or the war. What makes them think they would be able to agree on God?

You know I respect you if occassionally disagree with you, Amanda. But I couldn't help notice the irony that you accuse CMM (whose post was overly snarky) of looking foolish because of his "broad brush" but doesn't your "liberal playbook" comment do the same thing- painting liberals with a broad brush?
