Averaging temps is always problematic. That's why I look to GHG concentrations. If they continue to rise, warming is inevitable. It's the simple application of the Laws of Chemistry and Physics, in particular Conservation of Energy. If the gases absorb infra-red radiation and statistically only half would be re-emitted into space, where's the rest going, but to heat the earth? Why can't you answer that simple question?
