WOW! “SHOW ME STATE” SHOWS OBAMACARE THE DOOR… Prop C Passes By Over 70%

I'm leaning more Palin right now, I dislike nearly every fiscal move Obama's made and he sold out the anti-war pro pot people.

I don't know enough about the tea party to say I'd join but I'm hard right fiscally and hard left socially. And I'm in the oil business so you know where Sarah is on that one.

Now he's in the "oil business" :cuckoo::cuckoo:

How long before he offers to "bet a grand" that he's not lying this time? :cuckoo:

He just did.

Sheeezuz... what a display of bull shit.

The point is, they may not have a choice. Whether they get the point or not is irrelevant. The Supreme Court will deem it unconstitutional, and the dems won't be able to do a damn thing about it except say good bye to their crowning, socialist achievement.

I really hope you are right and have even stated as much. If the Supreme Court does not shoot it down then what?

I fully expect the Supreme Court to rule it's mandate to buy health insurance unconstitutional, simply because it is.

But in the unlikely event that they don't, when the conservatives regain control in November, they'll move to repeal the whole damn mess and start over. That's what really needs to be done anyway.

My thoughts exactly!!! I really hope it happens before January.

I do not know about anyone else but I have the medical cafeteria plan. This bill or law will have an effect on me come January of this year. I will lose the ability to by over the counter medication with the money in my account. They are taking away from me already.

My bet is this bill goes bye, bye. I wouldn't worry too much if I was you. It has nothing good going for it.

I don't see any clowns stepping up.
The financial clients I had were employees of Texaco where I worked.

I'll take IS NOT for $200 Alex.

Daily double!

Wonder how the US Supreme Court is feeling about state's rights. Maybe Obama can address that at his next State of the Union address.

I can't wait for the Arizon 1070 and the federal government mandating I purchase health care from a private business both reach the supreme court.

Let me guess arizona is upheld 5 to 4 and Mandated purchasing of health insurance is struck down 5 to 4. :eusa_pray::eusa_pray::eusa_pray:

It all comes down to how Justice Kennedy votes:

Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito will definitely follow the Constitution on these issues.

Here's Kennedy's record on voting with the conservative justices on narrowly divided issues recently:

On the Roberts Court, Kennedy often decides the outcome of a case. In the 2008-2009 term, he was in the majority 92 percent of the time. In the 23 decisions in which the justices split 5-to-4, Kennedy was in the majority in all but five. Of those 23 decisions, 16 were strictly along ideological lines, and Kennedy joined the conservative wing of the court 11 times; the liberals, 5.

Judging by that, the left has some tough sledding ahead, but it's still possible.

Personally, I don't think many would disagree with the notion that healthcare costs are too high and that bringing the high cost of health insurance down so that people can afford it is a a bad thing. However what a vote in MO. at least in my opinion represents is people not willing to trade the choice to do so, for the lower cost. It would seem to me that had our Govt. had the good sense to sit down and craft legisliation that would benefit everyone in a common sense manner then people for example with pre-existing condition would not be caught up in this mess. Frankly, I see this as a rejection of the forced purchase of a good or service on the part of the Federal Govt. and rightly so on the part of the citizens of Mo. Had this healthcare legislation not been used as a legislative win for the President and more of a win for the American people we would not be at the point where 70% of the citizens of one state and a whole host of other states are now calling it into question.

If this abortion of a Health insurance Reform really would contol or reduce costs, it would be easy to support in spite of the fact that it's unconstitutional.

However, it is causing insurance rates to rise, will cost more than a Trillion dollars in added taxation over the first 6 years of benefits and will certainly cause the poor, who were led to believe that the insurance will be free, to have to pay for care that was previously free.

This whole thing is a swindle sold by theives through lies to the unwitting.

The reason that 70% oppose this is that it is a swindle. The 30% who are too stupid to critically analyze anything are waiting for free healthcare and for the Big 0 to pay their mortgage.

Federal Law trumpts State Law!

I'll remember that next time I'm playing with state and federal cards. State's rights supercede federal rights, except in cases of Constitutionally protected federal rights.

That was incoherent. Please try again.

Here, I'll translate for you. Every time you see topspin post all you have to do is think of this translation.

klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen, klansman, klan, klansmen

That's about all topspin has to add to any discussion.

:clap2::clap2: Yep, ol' Topsoil is a freak.

First he told me he was a "financial adviser" who earned his "clients" 45% per year. He wanted to "bet a grand" that he was being truthful.

After I shamed him into admitting he was lying, he then proudly told me that he has "an MBA". Oh really Topsoil? From what College?? Of course he refuses to say... (i think MBA stand for "major bullshit addiction") He then wanted "bet a grand" that he really has the MBA.

Then, like a teenager with ADD, he moved to being a ganja smoking, peace loving, "Rastafarian"!!! He offered to "bet a grand" that the pot smoking bill in California would pass.

This week he's just a humble accountant who doesn't smoke pot everyday, but made "millions" by investing in "index funds and Oil stocks". If you want he'll "bet you a grand" that he's rich. :cuckoo::cuckoo:

Oh, and of course anyone who disagrees with Obama on anything is a racist Klansmen....
The only thing he says that's believable is that he's a pothead.

It had nothing to do with healthcare and EVERYTHING to do with rationing

Please post which page of the document states this.
So EVERYONE is going to receive EVERY treatment and medicine they need? What page of the document states that?

The Tax Foundation - Tax Research Areas > Missouri

Federal Tax Burdens and Expenditures: Missouri is a Beneficiary State:

Compared to the average state, Missouri taxpayers receive more in federal funding per dollar of federal taxes paid. In 2004, Missouri citizens received approximately $1.29 in the way of federal spending. This ranks the state 20th highest nationally and represents a slight rise from 1992 when Missouri received $1.25 per dollar of taxes in federal spending, ranking17th highest nationally. Neighboring states and the federal spending received per dollar of federal tax collected were: Iowa ($1.11), Nebraska ($1.07), Kansas ($1.12), Oklahoma ($1.48), Arkansas ($1.47), Tennessee ($1.30), Kentucky ($1.45) and Illinois ($0.73).

Outside of Illinois, wonder what all those states have in common. :eusa_think:
