Wonder Where Chris is?

That`s another lie! You mocked all the posters who were commenting about the current spring time temperatures in their region and said how ridiculous they were looking in their own little backyard and posted that picture as "the big picture" of the entire arctic region as CURRENT ARCTIC TEMPERATURES.

So when I posted a chart that was titled "Temperature mean forecast departure", I was really trying to fool people into thinking it was temperature and not temperature differential. Silly me, assuming people would read the title.

Apparently, I am required to state "I know the chart says temperature differential, and that it should also be obvious that red on Greenland does not mean Greenland is hotter than the USA, but since PolarBear can't grasp such simple concepts, let me emphasize that it's a temperature differential chart and not a temperature chart."

And if I don't say that, I'm a liar.

By the way, are you drinking heavily these days? That would explain a lot.

Remember his incessant postings showing the ratio of record highs to record lows? Wonder why he's not posting now?
Maybe he got bored with the frustration of trying to debate science with very brainwashed and very ignorant retards who all belong to an astroturfed cult of reality denial that was ginned up by the fossil fuel industry. Maybe the amusement of watching retards like you, walleyed, spin in the wind finally paled and he realized that the opinions of confused cretins like you denier cultists are too worthless to bother with and too unimportant to matter anyway. I'm only still here because your antics continue to occasionally amuse me. You are a hilarious little retard, y'know.

2012 Saw 362 All-Time Record High Temperatures In U.S. But Zero All-Time Record Lows

Describing how off the charts our weather has become gets harder and harder. Fortunately, we have wunderground historian Christopher Burton to put things in perspective. He tallies the data from NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center in his recap of “the warmest calendar year on record for the continental U.S. according to NCDC data going back to 1895″:
2012records.jpeg

A chart of the total number of NCDC sites that measured daily and/or monthly record high and low temperatures. There are about 5,500 of these sites in the NCDC database all together and it is important to note that the first two columns of this table are not all-time record highs or all-time record lows but daily and monthly records. So, for instance, a single site may have broken dozens of daily records over the course of the year. The 5th and 6th columns are for all-time record highs and lows: a total of 362 such heat records and 0 such cold records occurred. The ratio of daily record highs to daily record lows (about 5 to 1) were the greatest for any year in NCDC records.

This was the year where winter was like spring (see L.A. Times Explains U.S. ‘Seems to Have Largely Escaped Winter’ and ABC News Explains Warm Winter, ‘Wild Swings In Weather’, Driven by Global Warming, Only Going to Get Worse). Then spring was like summer (see March Heat Records Crush Cold Records by Over 35 To 1, Scientists Say Global Warming Loaded The Dice and March Madness: ‘This May Be An Unprecedented Event Since Modern U.S. Weather Records Began In The Late 19th Century’). Finally summer was something from the Dust Bowl era (see “July Heat Records Crush Cold Records By 17 To 1, ‘Historic Heat Wave And Drought’ Fuels Oklahoma Fires"). Imagine what our weather will be like if we are foolish enough to ignore all scientific warnings, If We Fail To Stop 10°F Warming.

No you posted:
Note the colder-than-normal USA and hotter-than-normal arctic. They're cancelling their ski races in Greenland because the snow has all melted.
And hoped nobody would notice the fine print on top of the picture and wanted to make sure nobody would read the blog post where you picked it from....that`s why you did not want to post the link...in a lame effort to corroborate yet another pack of lies you keep posting
They're cancelling their ski races in Greenland because the snow has all melted.
Snow does not melt at -25 C !
Not even in Greenland
You kept insisting that it was a satellite picture..
Satellites don`t download forecasts..
Satellites don`t download temperature anomaly pictures with pretty red colors where Greenland looks as hot as molten metal
Yet you kept insisting that it was current a satellite picture of current temperatures..
Till I showed you with the digital fingerprint that it came from a photo-image processing program and which version.
That pissed you off and you accused me of having said that the blogger + the forecaster were liars.
While you were the only liar..you even lied about that blogger that you plagiarized and had him saying things he never said.

You "used to work in nuclear power plants"...?
I bet the only thing you ever had to do with a nuclear or any other power plant is filing false sick and compensation claim$

I`m still waiting for your answer...which ones did you "used to work in" ?
It`s about time you get neutered

I challenged you to lay your cards on the table..I`m still waiting.

Arctic summers ice-free 'by 2013'

By Jonathan Amos
Science reporter, BBC News, San Francisco

Arctic summer melting in 2007 set new records

Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice.

Their latest modelling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years.

Professor Wieslaw Maslowski told an American Geophysical Union meeting that previous projections had underestimated the processes now driving ice loss.

Summer melting this year reduced the ice cover to 4.13 million sq km, the smallest ever extent in modern times.

Remarkably, this stunning low point was not even incorporated into the model runs of Professor Maslowski and his team, which used data sets from 1979 to 2004 to constrain their future projections.

In the end, it will just melt away quite suddenly

Professor Peter Wadhams

"Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007," the researcher from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, explained to the BBC.
"So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative."

Now it`s back to the typical whore/lesbian/fag defense...if you don`t scratch my back I`ll scratch out your eyes

You are psychotic and I`m glad we don`t have a psycho like you living in our neighborhood...We would have to keep our kids indoors...you are the kind of freak that calls 911 if you see a kid with a baseball bat.

Because of mental breakdowns like that, everyone thinks you're totally unhinged now.

That would be why everyone else on your side is avoiding jumping in with you in this little spat. You're embarrassing them, they wish you'd quietly go away, but they're too polite to say it.

It's gotta be a religion to those people. I'm sitting here south of the Mason Dixon in the first week of April where I should be in a T-shirt and I am watching the snow come down. The radicals don't call it "global warming" anymore. They call it "climate change" but the climate changes all the time. Could we be headed into a long slide toward a ice age? They don't want to hear it because global warming is tied to an energy based extortion racket designed to reduce America to the level of 3rd world countries.

How about showing me some proof that you "used to run nuclear power plants".

Already done. Why hasn't your chickenshit ass responded on that thread?

Oh wait. I believe I covered your reason for that with the "chickenshit" part.

(If you weren't such a crybaby, I would have given you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you just hadn't seen my response yet. However, since you always shriek and pout if someone doesn't instantly respond to you, turnabout is fair play. You didn't instantly respond to me, therefore by your own standards, you are a chickenshit liar.)

So, you did some contractor work at a nuke plant that had nothing to do with nuclear power, and now you're pretending to be an expert on nuclear power.

And I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I'm a brain surgeon.

And everyone is laughing at you, basically because you're such a tool.

(And I know I shouldn't be playing "poke the loony" to this degree, but it's just too much goddamned fun.)

Where is it ? Post it here...I`m not going to look through all the crap you post to find it.
Where did I say I was an "expert on nuclear power"?
I just worked in a nuclear research lab and in the power plant and am qualified for the control systems. So are a lot of other Military engineers. We never knew for sure that we would not be deployed for an emergency response that requires these qualifications. Hey I even got a CO`s commendation for writing better software that controls the switch gear.
Okay...so now you are a brain surgeon because last night you gave blowjobs at the Holiday Inn Brain Surgeon Convention ?
Look I a bit too busy having a real life and can`t sit here all day reading your temper tantrums. Take a Valium and I`ll check back here tomorrow when you post your Holiday Inn receipt.
I got one from the "Holiday Inn" at the Strategic Air Command Thule Greenland...wanna see it ?
But that would not interest you because that "Holiday Inn" does not allow any 1 night stand hookers like the one you spent last night.
I`ve got to turn off these pesky e-mail notification alerts...

2012 Saw 362 All-Time Record High Temperatures In U.S. But Zero All-Time Record Lows
ThinkProgress
By Joe Romm

(excerpts)

Cant post links yet, but this is from the same hamweather site referenced in your post:

Massive number of record lows – In Summer

While the mainstream media screamed about the number of record highs during the last WEEK, they somehow forgot to mention the massive number of records lows.

Here’s a list of record lows in the United States on just one DAY – 27 Jun 2012.

OK, so you have some comprehension problems, that's fixable. The chart I just posted lists a lot of daily and monthly highs and lows. For June, July and August, there were 9696 daily high temperature records set and 2235 daily low temperature records. You just listed some of those daily low records. So what? Try to comprehend the difference between a daily record low temperature and an all time record low temperature. In 2012 there were 362 all time record high temperatures and zero all time record low temperatures. The article I cited is accurate even if you can't understand what they are saying.

Actually mammy, we're laughing at you. Polarbear has run rings around you and I have been laughing my ass off....AT YOU!

We had a Siamese cat about 20 years ago but my wife gave it the boot because that cat was too psycho and gave a 6 month old baby we had in our care a bloody face.

This one is way worse than any freak of nature I ever encountered.
But it is almost as funny as that to toy with (from a distance) :

In the same thread you asked the question in, the long atmospheric physics thread. Where would you think it was, in the cooking section?

And, I await your retreat ... I mean, response.

By the way, you're basically the only human on the planet who hasn't said the cat is gorgeous. So clearly, the problem is with you. And yes, I do use that photo to bring out the cat-hater loonies.

PolarBear only has two asskissers left, you and SSDD. Everyone else thinks he's stupid and crazy.

I helped create your little 'tards club, of course. I mocked y'all so savagely, even the other denialists cast you out. Still, you weren't forced to assume human centipede form. You must just like it.

Ohhhhh, I hate to break it to ya...'cause you're so special and all....but you couldn't "create" anything. You can't wipe your own bum without help, so creating anything is far, far beyond your capablity.

Gee I finally got back and now I have to stay up waiting for my wife to call me when she`s ready to leave the "wake" for her auntie.
So I was in the mood for something less serious and checked on the Siamese cat who "used to run nuclear power plants".
It was the usual garbage and some Wikipedia crap + a few Navy buzzwords that nobody I know uses. Mind You I wasn`t in the Navy. But I do know how a reactor control room looks like.
That cat in the hat wrote:
Reactor Watch Officer. That's would be the guy in charge of the plant for the shift....
That's hilarious. You actually think Navy reactors have software...

In all of the engine room and reactor spaces, there was _one_ integrated circuit chip, and that was in a non-critical piece of test gear. There were darn few transistors as well, maybe a few on the TG regulators. What we had was endless glorious magamps, and it's difficult to run software on a coil of wire wrapped around a magnetic slug.
No one has instant technical knowledge of everything. Yep, I'd have to look it up to find out how many joules/second were moving. Who cares?
Now I`ll show you the FIDE simulator and the Navy procedures drill.
FIDE is a full scale "EOS" (Enclosed Operating System):
02_trainer.gif

Lead instructor ETCS(SS) James Berhalter explains the new Fleet Interactive Display Equipment training simulator to visitors following the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Behind him, two instructors run the simulator. During a training scenario, the instructors act as the various propulsion plant watch standers and monitor the full range of normal operational and simulated casualty situations. (The computer displays shown here are unclassified mock-ups.)
And the instant Wiki-Navy officer says
In all of the engine room and reactor spaces, there was _one_ integrated circuit chip, and that was in a non-critical piece of test gear. There were darn few transistors as well,
So I`ll call the bluff and now I want to see a picture of the Siamese cat in uniform..
As far as I know it`s a criminal offense to impersonate an officer...but I don`t care...I`m cracking up laughing:
Reactor Watch Officer. That's would be the guy in charge of the plant

Maybe you should have buried it in the cooking section..
Yes and feel free to use my "drinking problem" picture:

70% of IQ scores fall between 85 and 115 (Normal)
(And the rest below =)
IQ 50-70 - Mild mental retardation
Pretty good correlation I would say

That's a SIMULATOR, dumbass.

Damn, you're stupid.

That's not the freaking ship. That's a computer simulation of the ship. According to your fuktard logic, if a computer simulation of a WWII airplane exists, that means the airplane was run by computers.

Holy shit, you're dumb. I know I said it before, but it bears repeating. It's just staggering, how freakin' stupid you are. I think the whole board will be laughing about this one for months.

Oh, you still haven't answered my questions from the other thread yet, being you've used that latest outburst of stupidity as an excuse to evade. So let's get back to testing your amazing knowledge.

What's the exact purpose of a cooling tower at a nuclear reactor site (or at any power plant)?

And let's add a few.

What's a magamp, and what's the advantage of them for reactor controls?

Why does the Navy not use software to control its reactors?

Answer the question nimrod. What was your rating? There is no such position as "reactor watch officer". There are engineering officers and they come in many classes.

A very good friend of mine was a Chief Engineer on the APL ship Pres. Monroe and is famous throughout the Merchant Marine fleet for having thrown the Captain off the ship and sailing her as both Chief and Master till a new Captain was flown out. He also held that rank in the US Navy and he confirmed that there is no such position as you claim.
