Under the new policy, athletes will be tested to make sure testosterone is below a certain level – 5 nanomoles per litre continuously for at least 36 months – in transgender athletes who wish to compete against cisgender female swimmers.
Tested 36 months straight before you can even compete the first time. How many men will do that just to eventually be able to do a sport for a couple of years?
Keep in mind that Thomas is not even that good, and only good in one event which is rare in swimming

But it is just stupid as fuck to think there are 1000s of men just waiting to give up their manhood so they can do a sport for a couple of years that will not give them anything but some trophies.
Ignorance is bliss, isn't it...I don't mind women competing with men when it's fair. There are co-ed sport leagues where men and women are divided evenly with numbers on both sides. Tennis has mixed doubles. That's fair. Before about the age of 12, it can be fair. But, when the testosterone kicks in, and it's men against women in sports, it's no longer fair. If a woman wants to try out for a man's team, go for it. If she thinks she is good enough, go for it. But, that would be very few women that can compete with men. However, all you have to do is open your eyes with what happened with Lea Thompson and how she creamed the women. Women who had swam in competition for 15 year or more seeking to be the best female swimmer in the world. Title lX was put into place so that women could fairly compete and with the same number of sports as the men. A women's lib thing that destroyed many sports in colleges around the nation.
