They are essentially demonizing alpha males by recharacterizing them as needy men. Which is the opposite of what a human alpha male is.
Making this new term (which - laughably - originates from some blogger in 2010 ) that recharacterizes alphas as the bad guys and the heroes are, essentially men with beta characteristics.

I like, and fit into, the Sigma characterization. It's just another iteration of the Alpha male. Alpha males are usually found in social or business settings. The Sigma is mostly a loner but is often sought after for leadership when in those social and business settings.

But what I don't like is using this term in conjunction with reinterpreting what alpha males are. Making them out to be weak minded and aggressive. The very opposite of alpha.

If a person makes you laugh everyday, chances are the humor is more accidental than purposeful.
In other words, laughing AT them, not because they are funny.
