A short reminder of communism, and Leftism in general:
"Those who tried to leave were shot, those who remained, starved to death. Men, women, children. They died tortuously slowly.
NKVD squads collected the dead. They received 200 grams of bread for every dead body they delivered; often they didn't wait until the victim was dead."
9. How to explain the Russian acceptance of communism as part of their heritage while recognizing the atrocities of communism?
Cognitive dissonance.... akin to the 'tolerant' Liberals embracing FDR, who hated minorities, and contemporary Liberals foaming at the mouth about 'racism,' yet making a racist...Bill Clinton, their idol.
Yet, both in the Russian psyche, and that of our Liberal brethren, they refuse to accept this as their own fault or moral weakness.
They make a thousand excuses.
It is very much like the thousand excuses that Democrats/Liberals try to raise as explanation for Hillary's loss.
