wish I'd met somma y'all back in my hitchhikin' days 40 years ago... :-)

You might have had to change some of our diapers. Or at least finagled some franks and beans out of their zippers.

it did occur to me that some folks in here had barely been born back then...

or mebbe not even born yet...

no problem... I don't judge folks based on age... :)

more tunes from back in the days when I slept next to the highway in a sleeping bag...

happened to catch a Zep concert back when I was passing through SF, early June 1973...

don't remember much about it... I was pretty well fucked up at the time...

but I do remember this tune...

1. Psychedelics were not even potent back then.
2. How did you get a ticket?
3. I saw them in '77 in MSG. No Quarter was the most boring song ever.
4. Where you really a Jack Kerouac wannabe?

Dude, seriously????? :eusa_hand:
LSD was LSD no matter what year. Mescaline was mescaline no matter what year. Peyote was peyote no matter what year.
What difference did it make how he got his ticket?
No Quarter was an excellent tune, just because you don't have any taste in music isn't Bill's fault. :eusa_whistle:
I personally ran across some of those who were just drifting, put them up for a few days at times. One didn't have a lower body and was skateboarding across America, another was from Germany and drifting across America. Sounds more like sour grapes on your behalf, don't be a hater. :D

that's how we got around before we drove. we hitched everywhere. 40 years ago it was common to see people walking around with their thumbs out. and common for someone to pick you up.
